Paint Juicy Werks The Wickham, Brisbane
Have you heard? Paint Juicy have ventured out of the coastal beach tiny town of the Gold Coast and are glittering on up the highway to the stunning city lights of Brisbane. We’ve collaborated with the coolest-cats in town for an epic Sunday sesh at The Wickham you definitely shouldn’t miss every last Sunday of the month. Save the dates!
Established in 1885, this wickedly historic Brisbane treasure, The Wickham, is one of the oldest standing venues in The Valley and has been a long term supporter of the LGBT+ community. This little slice of history happens to be a 3 story heritage listed venue which you can now order a sip in. Inside beholds the funkiest bars with 5 separate spaces you need to check out! When attending a session here with us, you’ll be whipping on up a masterpiece over 3 hours in the lush alfresco Beer Garden. So think best friends, sips, the sun, painting and a garden of freshly grown fruit and herbs. All the very best things in life! As this event is outside, you’ll be wanting to bring along a hat, some sunscreen, a cocktail + a delish pub style feed to keep you feeling fresh as a daisy.
On the 29th of August, we kicked off our very first Paint Juicy / The Wickham event with the untameable beast ~ our lion artwork piece “Hear Me Roar” with it’s vibrant mane as an ode to pride. Local Brisbane celebrity / Paint Juicy’s #1 hype woman ShuShu Funtanna wooed the crowd with her cutesy outfits and filthy jokes alongside local Gold Coast artist Monique St Clare guiding the crowd over every brush stroke and colour combo. Whilst everyone was painting the lion together, each individual was given the freedom to create their own unique take as a piece to proudly hang on their wall.

We at Paint Juicy love humans and spaces that celebrate unity, acceptance and uniqueness ~ so where better to go than The Wickham? We together will continue to strive for a positive change in society and only wish for all who attends the merriest of times.
