Paint and Sip Queensland
Our Paint and Sip Queensland is where the night out stops being just drinks and suddenly becomes a story. We take canvases, colour and chaos on tour across the state, you supply the crew, the gossip and the drinks.
From the Gold Coast and Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast, Airlie Beach, Townsville and Cairns, our paint and sip nights are built for hens parties, birthdays, work shindigs and those random Tuesdays where everyone decides they are “just having one” and lies about it.
This is not a quiet little art class. It is a full show that happens to have paint involved.
Why Paint and Sip Queensland hits different
Queensland is already good at sunshine and cold drinks. We simply add paint, music and a host who refuses to let the vibe die.
With Paint and Sip Queensland you get:
- A big night out wrapped around a canvas
- An activity that even your shy mate and your loud cousin both enjoy
- A host who can wrangle a rowdy room and still keep the painting on track
- Art that looks way better than anyone expected by the end of the night
It works in city bars, country pubs, RSLs, surf clubs, rooftops, breweries and random function rooms where the carpet has seen things.

What your private Paint and Sip Queensland session includes
A private Paint and Sip Queensland booking is set up so you can enjoy the night, not project manage it. A standard session includes:
- All canvases, paints, brushes, aprons and easels
- A lead artist plus high energy host
- Step by step instructions that keep everyone moving together
- Set up and pack down of all painting gear
- Party playlist dialled to your crowd, not background elevator music
- A choice of artworks and themes to match your group and vibe
- Photo moments and a room full of take home masterpieces
At most venues, guests can buy their own drinks and food from the bar, or you can arrange catering direct with the venue. For private homes or hired spaces you can bring your own food and drinks, as long as it fits within local rules.
-
No drinks or food are included in your ticket unless stated otherwise
If you are a venue, we can also work with you to create packages that match your menu, bar and local crowd.
How a Paint and Sip Queensland event runs
Every location is a little bit different, but the format is tried and tested on thousands of guests.
-
Enquiry and date check
You tell us where in Queensland you are, how many people you are expecting and what kind of event it is. Hens, birthday, work, club social, whatever you are plotting. -
Lock in venue and details
You either book your own venue or use one of our partner venues in key areas. We lock in date, start time, rough head count and artwork or theme. -
Pre event set up
Our crew arrives before guests to set up canvases, paints, easels, water cups and the bits that turn a quiet room into an art pit. You focus on greeting your people and sorting drinks. -
Welcome and first drinks
Guests arrive, grab a drink, claim their seat and get settled. Your host gives the intro, explains how the night works and gets the first laughs in early. -
Paint, sip, sing and stir trouble
Across about 2.5 to 3 hours your group is guided through the artwork in easy stages. There are breaks for drinks, photos, games and the usual nonsense that happens when you give grown adults paint. -
Final touches and chaos reveal
Everyone signs their masterpiece, the room does a big show and tell, and the cameras come out. We pack down the paint gear, you decide if the night ends there or continues somewhere else.
Queensland Paint and Sip ideas
Paint and Sip Queensland works for just about any group that wants a night out with something to do, not just somewhere to sit. Popular ways to use it:
-
Hens parties
Big playlist, cheeky banter, a theme that matches the bride and something a bit more fun than another tapas booking. -
Birthdays and milestones
From 18ths to 60ths, Paint and Sip Queensland gives you an easy to run main event. Guests are actually engaged, not just scrolling their phones. -
Work and team events
Perfect for Christmas parties, EOFY, team building or welcome events. No trust falls, no awkward speeches, just shared chaos and some surprisingly decent art. -
Holiday town takeovers
Catch us when we roll through coastal towns like Airlie Beach, Hervey Bay, Yeppoon, Townsville and Cairns. Great for locals, staff parties and friends on a trip. -
Themed nights and tours
Build your event around a theme like 80s and 90s singalong, Jukebox Jive, Paint Your Pet or seasonal artworks. Venues use these as anchor nights to pull a crowd and keep the bar moving.
FAQs about Paint and Sip Queensland
What is the minimum group size for a private Paint and Sip Queensland event?
Most private Paint and Sip Queensland sessions work on a minimum of 10 guests. Larger groups are no problem and we regularly run events for 30, 50 or more. If you are a bit under 10 people, reach out anyway and we can see if there is a public event or shared option that fits.
Do you travel to regional Queensland or only stick to the big cities?
We definitely travel. Queensland is built for road trips. While Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Townsville and Cairns are regular hubs, we often add runs through coastal and regional towns when the schedule allows. Travel fees and minimums can change based on distance, so give us your town, date and rough numbers and we can give you a straight answer.
Can we host Paint and Sip Queensland at home or at a private venue?
Yes. You can host at home, in a holiday rental, community hall, workplace or private function room, as long as there are tables, chairs, access to water and the owner is fine with paint being involved. We can also suggest partner venues in a range of Queensland locations if you prefer to keep cleanup somewhere that is not your house.
What do guests need to bring?
Guests do not need to bring any art gear. Paint and Sip Queensland includes all painting supplies and aprons. Guests simply need to:
- Wear clothes they are happy to get a little paint on
- Bring or buy their own drinks, depending on the venue rules
- Sort their own nibbles or meals if they want food during the session
No drinks or food are included in your ticket unless a specific combined package has been arranged with a venue.
Can we choose the artwork or theme for our Queensland event?
Yes. You choose from our artwork library and theme list, or tell us what kind of vibe you want and we will recommend options that work in a mixed ability room. Some designs are built for big singalong nights, others are better for workplaces or calmer groups. The idea is simple, fun and achievable for everyone.
How long does a Paint and Sip Queensland event run?
Most events run for around 2.5 to 3 hours. That covers guest arrival, intros, painting in stages, breaks, photos and a bit of mucking around. We can sometimes adjust timing for workplaces or venues with tight curfews, as long as the painting still gets done without rushing.
Do you run public Paint and Sip Queensland nights as well as private bookings?
Yes. Alongside private events, we run public sessions in partner venues across Queensland. These are perfect for smaller groups, date nights or anyone who just wants to jump in. Check the events listed on this page for upcoming sessions near you.
Can Queensland venues partner with you to run regular nights?
Absolutely. If you run a bar, club, brewery, restaurant or function venue in Queensland and want to add high energy paint and sip nights that actually pull a crowd, we are keen. It works well for midweek trade, slower periods and seasonal promotions. Contact us and we can talk about format, dates and ticket structure.
