Winery Paint and Sip in the Hunter Valley: Because Wine Alone Is Not Enough

The Hunter Valley has always been dangerously good at convincing people to stay longer than planned. One glass turns into a bottle, a bottle turns into a long lunch, and suddenly it's Sunday afternoon and you've booked another night because going home sounds terrible.

We get it. And we think your Hunter Valley weekend just got a whole lot better.

Paint Juicy is bringing its paint and sip to Pokolbin, right in the middle of wine country, and the first session is going to be a good one.

Hunter Valley Paint and Sip

Where Is It and When

Our first Hunter Valley paint and sip is on Saturday 4th July 2026 at RidgeView Wines, 273 Sweetwater Road, Pokolbin NSW. Kick-off is 1pm, so arrive early, grab some lunch, pour yourself something nice, and get settled in before we start.

RidgeView is proper Hunter Valley. It is not a function room tacked onto a pub. It is a winery, and it sets the tone for exactly the kind of afternoon you want to be having.

Tickets are $59 per person and you can grab them right here on the Paint Juicy website. They will sell out, especially given the timing with the long weekend crowd, so do not sit on it.

What Actually Happens at a Paint Juicy Event

If you have never done a paint and sip before, here is the short version. You show up, get an easel, canvas, brushes, paint, and an apron. Our hosts walks the whole room through the painting step by step, so it does not matter if the last thing you painted was a school project in 1994.

This particular session is an 80s and 90s Singalong Paint and Sip, which means the playlist goes deep into the good stuff and Lotti Rem is there live, taking requests and performing throughout the session. You paint. You sing. You drink whatever RidgeView has poured you. You leave with a canvas that is genuinely yours.

It runs up to three hours and it is deliberately not a class. Nobody is grading your brushwork. The vibe is big, the music is loud, and the whole point is that you have a great time.

Who Is This For

Honestly, almost anyone who is already planning a Hunter Valley trip.

It works brilliantly as a hens party stop. The Hunter Valley is one of the most popular hens weekends in NSW and a singalong paint and sip fits perfectly into that Saturday afternoon slot before things get properly loose.

It is just as good for a group of mates, a birthday, a work group doing a retreat, or two people who wanted a different kind of date afternoon than cellar door number seven.

If you are local to the Hunter Valley, Maitland, Newcastle, Cessnock, or anywhere in the Upper Hunter, it is also just a solid excuse to get out on a Saturday.

More Hunter Valley Dates Coming

The July session is the first but it will not be the last. We are planning more Hunter Valley paint and sip events later in the year, so if July does not work for you, keep an eye on the Hunter Valley Paint and Sip collection page and we will post new dates as they are confirmed.

If you want to be the first to know, follow Paint Juicy on Facebook or Instagram and you will see new events as soon as they drop.

How to Book

Head to the Hunter Valley Paint and Sip page, grab your tickets, and you are done. No complicated sign-up, no waiting list. Tickets are $59 per person, everything is supplied on the day, and all you need to bring is yourself and a willingness to have a genuinely good time.

See you at RidgeView.
