Why Paint and Sip Is the Perfect Hens Night
A hens night paint and sip works because it does not need everyone to be in the same mood at the same time. The nervous ones relax once the brush is moving. The loud ones take over the singalongs. The quiet ones get absorbed in the painting and come out of their shell by the second song. Nobody is standing around wondering what to do next and nobody feels left out.
It is two to three hours of built-in entertainment that the organiser does not have to run. We handle the whole thing. The format does the heavy lifting so the maid of honour can actually enjoy the night instead of managing it. Every guest walks out with a canvas, a good story and a group photo that does not look like everyone is forcing it.
Paint Juicy hens nights work for every kind of bride. The artsy one, the one who swears she cannot draw, the one who just wants to drink and laugh, and the one planning a big night after. We have run private paint and sip sessions for groups of ten and groups of sixty. The format scales and the energy stays high either way. Not sure if a hens night is right? Check out our birthday paint and sip page too.
How Your Hens Paint and Sip Night Actually Runs
Lock In Your Booking
Submit an enquiry with your date, guest count, preferred location and any add-ons. We confirm the details, lock in the booking and send everything the group needs to know before the night. No chasing, no confusion.
We Handle the Setup
Paint Juicy arrives early and sets up every canvas, easel, paint palette, brush kit and apron before your first guest walks in. The venue is ready to go. You show up, your group shows up, and the party starts.
The Session Runs Itself
Your artist hosts the whole night on mic, guiding every single step of the painting so no one gets lost or left behind. Singalong breaks, games, prizes and cheeky moments are woven in throughout so the energy never drops. No painting experience needed, not even a little bit.
Take Home Your Canvas
Every guest leaves with a finished painting they actually want to hang up. We pack everything down once the session wraps. The maid of honour does not lift a finger. The bride does not lift a finger. That is the whole idea.

How Much Does a Hens Paint and Sip Cost?
Private hens paint and sip bookings with Paint Juicy are priced on a flat rate for the first ten guests, with a simple per-person rate after that. No venue hire on top of us. No hidden charges for setup, breakdown or the host. What you see is what you pay.
First 10 Guests
Flat rate covers the full session, all equipment, full setup and pack down, and your hosted artist for the night. Minimum booking is 10 paid seats.
Each Additional Guest
Per person after your first 10. Scales simply as your group grows, whether that is 15 guests or 50. Add-ons like tarot readings, photo wall props or male model are quoted separately.
Groups smaller than 10 are welcome to join a public paint and sip session near you instead of booking privately. Public sessions start from $59 per person. Want to give the experience as a gift? Gift cards are available here. Custom artwork incurs an additional quoted fee.
Optional Add-Ons for Your Hens Night
Mention any of these when you enquire and we will build them into your session.
Hens Paint and Sip FAQs
How many guests do we need for a private hens paint and sip?
The minimum for a private hens booking is 10 paid guests. That is the number that makes a private session viable and, honestly, the number where the energy really gets going. If your group is smaller than 10, the best option is joining one of our public paint and sip sessions, which run regularly across QLD, NSW and NT. Your group still sits together and has a brilliant night, just alongside other people who are there for a good time too.
Do guests need any painting experience?
Zero. None. Not even close. Paint Juicy hens nights are designed for people who think they cannot paint, because that is most people and they always leave shocked at what they made. Your artist guides every single step on the mic, from the first brushstroke to the finishing details. Guests who have never touched a canvas before consistently produce paintings they want to hang on the wall. If you want a sneak peek at what is involved, our easy painting guides show you exactly the kind of results your group can expect.
Can we choose our own painting design?
Yes, with an additional custom artwork fee that is quoted when you enquire. Custom designs take extra prep time to develop a step-by-step guide the artist can teach on the night. If you are happy to choose from our existing catalogue of Paint Juicy artworks, there is no extra charge. The catalogue covers a wide range of styles and themes and there is always something that suits a hens night perfectly. Get in touch and we will help you find the right fit.
Can we bring our own drinks?
It depends on the venue. Paint Juicy is fully mobile, which means we run sessions at a huge variety of locations including BYO-friendly spaces, licensed bars, function rooms, bowls clubs and private properties. If you want us to come straight to your home or backyard, check out our mobile paint and sip at home page for details. When you enquire, let us know if you have a venue in mind or need help finding one.
Where do you run hens paint and sip sessions?
Paint Juicy runs hens paint and sip across Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory. On the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Coffs Harbour, Darwin and more. Because we are 100% mobile, we come to your chosen venue. If you are unsure whether we cover your area, just enquire and we will confirm.
What is the difference between the 2-hour and 3-hour session?
The 2-hour Classic session is the most popular format for hens nights and fits the full experience comfortably, painting, singalongs, games and group moments. The 3-hour Party Plus session gives you more breathing room for speeches, birthday cake, extended singalong breaks or fitting in additional add-ons without feeling rushed. If you are combining your hens night with a birthday celebration or have a packed evening planned, the extra hour is worth it.
Can you cater for large hens groups?
Yes. Paint Juicy has run hens paint and sip sessions for groups well into the sixties. Large groups work well because the format is designed to run at scale. Every guest has their own easel and materials, the artist hosts on mic so everyone can hear, and the singalong moments land harder the bigger the group. If you have a large group, mention it when you enquire so we can make sure the venue and setup are sized right. Also worth looking at our private bookings page for a full overview.
How far in advance should we book?
As early as possible, especially for weekend dates and peak seasons like summer and the lead-up to Christmas. Popular Saturday night slots fill quickly. That said, if you have a date coming up soon, it is always worth enquiring. Hens bookings tend to get locked in two to three months out on average, so the sooner the better. Check our booking and attendance terms for deposit and payment details before you enquire.
