Why it works

Why a Paint and Sip Is the Perfect Bridal Shower

A bridal shower paint and sip solves the exact problem every bridal shower runs into, which is two generations of women in the same room trying to pretend they have loads to talk about. Auntie Sue, the bride's best friend, the bride's future mother-in-law and a handful of cousins politely drinking tea is not a party. A paint and sip gives everyone something to actually do, and it gives the room a structure that makes conversation happen naturally.

The format lands beautifully at a bridal shower because it is genuinely cross-generational. Painting is calming. Singalongs are fun. The games are cheeky without being crass. Every guest, whether she is 22 or 72, walks out with a canvas she wants to hang up and a memory of the bride's day that feels warm rather than awkward. No scripted games about how well guests know the bride. No naff prop challenges.

Paint Juicy has run private paint and sip bridal showers at homes, on verandas, at function rooms and at bowls clubs. Daytime or evening. Bottomless brunch format or a tight afternoon session. The format adapts to the shape of the day the bride actually wants. Most bridal showers lean daytime and family-friendly, but if the bride wants something a bit cheekier with a male model add-on, we can run that too.

If the bridal shower is doubling as a pre-hens afternoon and the real hens night is still to come, check the hens party page for the evening version. For the engagement party celebration itself, see the engagement party page. Plenty of brides book multiple Paint Juicy events across the lead-up to the wedding.

What to expect

How Your Bridal Shower Paint and Sip Runs

01

Lock In Your Booking

Submit an enquiry with your date, guest count, preferred location and any add-ons you want included. We confirm availability, lock in your artist, send a booking summary and share everything your group needs before the day. No chasing, no guest list spreadsheets, no last-minute confusion about what is happening.

02

We Handle the Setup

Paint Juicy arrives early and sets up every canvas, easel, paint palette, brush kit and apron before your first guest walks in. The venue is ready to go. Tables are laid out, the playlist is running low in the background, and everything is exactly where it needs to be. You show up, your people show up, and the event starts.

03

The Session Runs Itself

Your artist hosts the whole event on mic, guiding every step of the painting so nobody gets lost or left behind. Singalong breaks, games and cheeky moments are woven in between paint layers so the energy never drops and nobody is left staring at a drying canvas. No painting experience needed and no pressure to be any good at it.

04

Take Home Your Canvas

Every guest leaves with a finished painting they actually want to hang up, plus the photos and group memories that come with it. We pack everything down once the session wraps, clear the space and leave it how we found it. The organiser does not lift a finger. That is the whole idea.

Make it yours

Choose the Vibe for Your Bridal Shower

Every bridal shower paint and sip is built around a theme that suits the bride and the guest list. Mum and grandmother on the guest list calls for a softer playlist. Bride's best mates only calls for something louder. Tell us the mix and we match the vibe, the painting and the games.

70s and 80s Singalong

For crews who grew up on proper pop and still know every word. Works brilliantly for 50th, 60th and 70th birthdays, and any room where half the guests used to own the albums on vinyl.

80s and 90s Singalong

The most requested vibe at Paint Juicy events. Big choruses, bigger hair in spirit, and a playlist that has everyone from the quiet one to the loudest one up and belting by the second song.

Afternoon Tea Theme

Softer music, elegant painting, daytime light and a pace that suits the bride's mum, grandmother, aunties and best friends all being in the room together.

Bottomless Brunch Bridal

Daytime bridal shower at a licensed venue. Bottomless drinks, brunch menu, painting between the rounds. Strict 18 plus.

Bridal Shower Paint and Sip FAQs

How is a bridal shower paint and sip different from a hens night?

A bridal shower is typically daytime, smaller, more family-friendly, and often includes mum, grandmother, aunties and the bride's best friends. A hens night is usually evening, louder, can include cheeky add-ons like a male model, and is typically friends-only. Many brides book both with Paint Juicy, one for each audience.

How many guests do we need for a private bridal shower?

The minimum for a private booking is 10 paid guests. Smaller groups are welcome to join a public paint and sip session across QLD, NSW and NT. Your group still sits together and has a lovely afternoon.

Can grandmother and mother-in-law attend?

Absolutely. Bridal showers are often multi-generational events. Paint Juicy runs 12 plus sessions with a paying guardian present, so younger cousins and flower girl-aged nieces can also be part of the afternoon. Mention the age mix when you enquire and we will size the venue and pacing.

Can we do a daytime session instead of evening?

Daytime is the most popular format for bridal showers. Afternoon tea-style gatherings work beautifully. Bottomless brunch formats at licensed venues are also very popular. Both formats are strict 18 plus if alcohol is included.

Do guests need painting experience?

Zero. The artist guides every step on mic. Most bridal shower groups have no painters in them and every single guest leaves shocked at what they made. Our easy painting guides show the kind of results to expect.

Can we pick a painting connected to the couple?

Yes, with a custom artwork fee quoted on enquiry. Popular choices include the bride's favourite flowers, the wedding venue, the proposal location or a design connected to the bride's style. Get in touch with the brief and we will quote it.

Where do you run bridal shower sessions?

Across Queensland, NSW and NT. On the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Coffs Harbour, Darwin and more.
