Christmas parties are usually the same thing every year. Bistro dinner. Awkward Secret Santa. One person doing too much at the bar. Everyone home by 10. We built Christmas Paint and Sip to be the work Christmas party people actually look forward to, not the one they try to get out of. Three hours of festive singalongs, premium paint on a real canvas, proper entertainment and a finished painting everyone takes home as the souvenir. Nobody is sitting in silence.

Every session is hosted live by a real artist who walks the room with a microphone. Every step is guided so even the most 'I cannot draw a stick figure' guest leaves with something worth hanging on the fridge or under the tree. Singalong moments and Christmas trivia are baked in throughout, partly because they are riotously fun, partly because they let the paint dry between layers. By the time we hit the chorus of All I Want for Christmas you will have forgotten you ever felt awkward at a work function in your life.

The work Christmas party that finally feels like a party

Most of our December bookings are work Christmas parties for teams between 10 and 60 people. The reason it works so well is that it actually creates connection. Quiet team members get into it. Loud team members get to be loud. Nobody is forced to sit and make small talk for three hours. Everyone goes home with a finished canvas, a sore face from laughing and a story to tell about the time the office actually had fun together.

Book a private Christmas session and the whole room is yours. Private bookings start at $700 flat for the first 10 guests and $65 for every guest after that. Minimum 10 paid seats.

For private bookings we can come to your venue, your favourite bar, your local bowls club, even your backyard if there is power and a roof. We bring the whole show. You bring the people and the playlist requests. Custom artwork is available for an additional quoted fee if you want to paint something specific to the group.

Frequently asked questions

When do Christmas sessions run?

Christmas Paint and Sip sessions run across November and December, and the December diary fills up by October most years. If you are planning a work Christmas party, the earlier you book the better.

Can we add karaoke or photo wall props for our Christmas party?

Yes. Karaoke, photo wall props, photographer add-ons and tarot mini-readings are all available as private booking add-ons. Get in touch and we will quote it.

Do I need to be able to paint?

Not even a little bit. Our host artist walks you through every brushstroke. People who have never picked up a brush leave with something they are proud of. People who already paint leave with a sore face from laughing. Both win.

How long is a session?

Three hours from start to finish. Long enough to settle in, enjoy a few drinks and properly enjoy the night. Short enough to be home at a reasonable hour.

What is the age policy?

Most public Paint Juicy sessions are 18+ because the venues are licensed and the playlists get cheeky. Some sessions are 12+ with a paying guardian present at all times. Nude life drawing and bottomless sessions are strictly 18+. Check the individual session listing for the exact age policy.

Can I book a private session?

Yes. Private bookings start at $700 flat for the first 10 guests and $65 for every guest after that, with a minimum of 10 paid seats. Get in touch with the date, the rough headcount and the location and we will sort it.

What if I am the only one in my friend group up for it?

Solo guests are super welcome at every Paint Juicy session. Plenty of people come on their own and leave with new mates. The room is friendly, the host is on the mic, and nobody is left in the corner.
