Why mums love a Paint Juicy session

Mums have done the brunch thing. They've done the high tea thing. They've done the cuddly card and supermarket flowers thing. What they have not done, in most cases, is spent up to 3 hours belting out 80s power ballads with a paintbrush in one hand and a wine in the other while their kids watch them have the time of their life. That is the Paint Juicy difference. We are entertainment first, painting second. The canvas is the souvenir. The night is the gift.

Every session is hosted live by a real artist who walks the room with a microphone. Every step is guided so even the most "I cannot draw a stick figure" guest leaves with something worth hanging on the fridge. Singalong moments and trivia are baked in throughout, partly because they are riotously fun, partly because they let the paint dry between layers. It is a rolling party with a structured spine, and mum is going to love it.

What is included in every Mother's Day session

• A live host artist on the mic walking every guest through the painting step by step
• Premium paint, brushes, easel, canvas and apron set up at every seat before you arrive
• A themed singalong playlist mum is going to know every single word to
• Trivia, games and laugh-out-loud moments woven throughout the session
• A finished painting mum actually wants to put on the wall, not stuff in a drawer
• Full setup by our team so nobody has to lift a finger
• A venue partner with a proper bar and kitchen so food and drinks are sorted

Public sessions or private parties, your call

Coming with a smaller crew? Grab seats at one of our public Mother's Day sessions and join the party. Coming with the whole extended family, all the aunties, the cousins, the in-laws and a few of mum's best mates? Book a private session and the whole room is yours. Private bookings start at $700 flat for the first 10 guests and $65 for every guest after that. Minimum 10 paid seats.

For private bookings we can come to your venue, your favourite bar, your local bowls club, even your backyard if there is power and a roof. We bring the whole show. You bring the people and the playlist requests. Artwork comes from the Paint Juicy catalogue and we can tweak the colours and details to suit mum.

Where we run Mother's Day Paint and Sip sessions

Paint Juicy is 100% mobile. We run Mother's Day Paint and Sip sessions across Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory at a rotating list of partner venues. From Brisbane and the Gold Coast to the Sunshine Coast, Hervey Bay, Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville and Cairns in Queensland. Newcastle, Penrith, Wollongong, Coffs Harbour, the Hunter Valley and beyond in NSW. Darwin, Palmerston, Humpty Doo, Nightcliff and the wider Top End in the NT. If we are not in your town yet, a private booking can change that. We come to you.

Mother's Day gift vouchers

Cannot make a session yourself but want to gift mum something she will actually use? Paint Juicy gift vouchers are valid across every public session in every state, never expire, and let mum pick the date and theme that works for her. Vouchers land in your inbox the moment you check out, so even a 9pm Saturday night "I forgot Mother's Day" panic is salvageable.

Frequently asked questions

When is Mother's Day in Australia in 2026?

Mother's Day in Australia falls on Sunday 10 May 2026. We run Paint Juicy Mother's Day sessions on the day itself and across the surrounding weekend so you can pick the timing that suits mum.

Do I need to be able to paint?

Not even a little bit. Our host artist walks you through every brushstroke. Mums who have never picked up a brush leave with something they are proud of. Mums who already paint leave with a sore face from laughing. Both win.

How long is a session?

Up to 3 hours from start to finish. Long enough to enjoy a few drinks and properly settle in, short enough that mum is home in time for whatever she has planned next.

Can I bring my kids and let mum paint with the grandkids?

All public Paint Juicy sessions are 18+ because the venues are licensed and the playlists get cheeky. Check the individual session listing for the age policy or get in touch and we will help you find a session that works for the whole tribe.

Can I book a private Mother's Day session for the whole extended family?

Yes, and a lot of our biggest Mother's Day bookings are exactly that. Private bookings start at $700 flat for the first 10 guests and $65 for every guest after that, with a minimum of 10 paid seats. Get in touch with the date, the rough headcount and the location and we will sort it.

What if mum lives in a different state to me?

Paint Juicy gift vouchers are valid across every Paint Juicy session in QLD, NSW and NT. Buy mum a voucher, send her the email, and she can book a session in her own city when it suits her. Easiest cross-country Mother's Day gift you will ever organise.

What if I want to gift this but I am not sure mum is a paint and sip type?

Read our five star Google reviews. The phrase that comes up the most is "I did not expect to love this as much as I did." Paint Juicy is built specifically for people who think paint and sip is going to be a quiet sit-down craft session. It is not. It is a singalong, a laugh, a proper night out. If mum likes a glass of wine, a good playlist and a laugh with her people, mum is a Paint Juicy mum.
