Why a Paint and Sip Is the Perfect Reunion
A reunion paint and sip solves the single biggest problem every reunion runs into, which is thirty people who used to know each other standing around in a venue trying to remember each other's names. A dinner makes it worse, because now the small talk happens across a table. A paint and sip fixes it by giving everyone a task. You paint together. You sing together. You laugh at each other's attempts at the one tricky detail in the artwork. By the second song, the old rhythm is back.
School reunions, family reunions, workplace reunions, footy club reunions, old roommate reunions. Paint Juicy has hosted the lot. The format works because it removes the pressure of catch-up conversations. You do not have to give your last fifteen years in an elevator pitch. You paint for a bit, you sing, you have a drink, and the conversation happens naturally on the way. By the end of the night, the group photo looks like the old group photos from whenever everyone was last together.
The playlist is the secret weapon. Paint Juicy locks it to the era the group grew up on together, which for a school reunion is usually the decade you were in school and for a family reunion is usually whatever your parents had on in the car. The singalong moments hit exactly the right nostalgia button. Guests go quiet on the first few bars of a song they have not heard in fifteen years, then belt the chorus.
We have run private reunion paint and sip sessions for 20-year school reunions, 40-year workplace reunions, 50-year family reunions and every combination in between. The format scales from 10 guests to 60 plus. For more ideas, see the wedding anniversary and milestone birthday pages, both of which often double as reunion events.
How Your Reunion Paint and Sip Runs
Lock In Your Booking
Submit an enquiry with your date, guest count, preferred location and any add-ons you want included. We confirm availability, lock in your artist, send a booking summary and share everything your group needs before the day. No chasing, no guest list spreadsheets, no last-minute confusion about what is happening.
We Handle the Setup
Paint Juicy arrives early and sets up every canvas, easel, paint palette, brush kit and apron before your first guest walks in. The venue is ready to go. Tables are laid out, the playlist is running low in the background, and everything is exactly where it needs to be. You show up, your people show up, and the event starts.
The Session Runs Itself
Your artist hosts the whole event on mic, guiding every step of the painting so nobody gets lost or left behind. Singalong breaks, games and cheeky moments are woven in between paint layers so the energy never drops and nobody is left staring at a drying canvas. No painting experience needed and no pressure to be any good at it.
Take Home Your Canvas
Every guest leaves with a finished painting they actually want to hang up, plus the photos and group memories that come with it. We pack everything down once the session wraps, clear the space and leave it how we found it. The organiser does not lift a finger. That is the whole idea.
Choose the Vibe for Your Reunion
Every reunion paint and sip is built around a singalong theme. The playlist is the single most important decision. Pick the era the group shares and we lock the music, the painting and the games around it. School reunions typically nail the decade everyone was in school together. Family reunions lean on shared childhood memories.
80s and 90s Singalong
The most requested vibe at Paint Juicy events. Big choruses, bigger hair in spirit, and a playlist that has everyone from the quiet one to the loudest one up and belting by the second song.
70s and 80s Singalong
For crews who grew up on proper pop and still know every word. Works brilliantly for 50th, 60th and 70th birthdays, and any room where half the guests used to own the albums on vinyl.
60s and 70s Singalong
For milestones where the guest of honour came up on Motown, early rock and the golden era of pop. Gentle on the vocal cords, huge on the nostalgia.
Custom Reunion Artwork
A painting connected to a shared memory. The school building, the old workplace, the family farm, the shared holiday house. Quoted separately on enquiry and typically loved at reunions.

Reunion Session Formats
The go-to reunion format. Painting, singalongs and a proper group moment in a tight two hours. Works well when the reunion is the main event of the day.
Longer breaks, more room for speeches and cross-table catch-ups. Book this if the reunion is a full afternoon or evening event with a speech from the organiser.
How Much Does a Reunion Paint and Sip Cost?
Private reunion paint and sip bookings run on a flat rate for the first ten guests, with a simple per-person rate after that. No venue hire on top of us. No hidden charges for setup, breakdown or the host. What you see is what you pay.
First 10 Guests
Flat rate covers the full session, all equipment, full setup and pack down, and your hosted artist for the event. Minimum booking is 10 paid seats.
Each Additional Guest
Per person after your first 10. Scales simply as your group grows, whether that is 15 guests or 50. Add-ons are quoted separately.
Groups smaller than 10 are welcome to join a public paint and sip session near you instead of booking privately. Public sessions start from $59 per person. Want to give the experience as a gift? Gift cards are available here. Custom artwork incurs an additional quoted fee.
Optional Add-Ons for Your Reunion
Mention any of these when you enquire and we will build them into your session.
Pull the Old Crew Back Together
Private bookings start from 10 guests. Tell us your date, location and guest count and we will build a reunion paint and sip that feels like the old days, only better. Smaller group? Join a public session near you.
Enquire About a Private BookingReunion Paint and Sip FAQs
Does a paint and sip work for a reunion if nobody has painted before?
That is the whole point. Most reunion groups have exactly zero painters in them, and every single guest leaves shocked at what they made. The artist guides every step on mic. The painting is the social lubricant, not the main event. Our easy painting guides show the kind of results to expect.
How many guests do we need for a private reunion?
The minimum for a private booking is 10 paid guests. Smaller groups are welcome to join a public paint and sip session across QLD, NSW and NT.
What kinds of reunions have you hosted?
School reunions (10, 20, 30, 40 year), family reunions, workplace reunions, footy and netball club reunions, old housemate reunions and church group reunions. The format works for any group of people who used to know each other and want to reconnect without the pressure of constant catch-up small talk.
Can we pick a custom painting tied to our shared history?
Yes, with a custom artwork fee quoted on enquiry. Popular choices include the old school building, the workplace building, the family farm, the holiday house or a symbol connected to the group's shared experience. Get in touch with the brief and we will quote it.
Can we do a daytime session instead of evening?
Yes. Daytime reunions work beautifully, especially when guests are travelling interstate or internationally and need to get back to accommodation at reasonable hours. Bottomless brunch formats at licensed venues are popular. Both 18 plus if alcohol is included.
Where do you run reunion sessions?
Across Queensland, NSW and NT. On the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Coffs Harbour, Darwin and more.
How far in advance should we book?
Three to six months out is the safe window for a reunion because guests often need to coordinate travel. Weekend dates go fastest. Check our booking and attendance terms for deposit details.
