Airlie Beach Hens Party Paint and Sip: Jess’ Private Session Recap

Airlie Beach, you gorgeous show-off.

We rolled in after a massive week of Paint Juicy chaos (the good kind) and honestly, Airlie hits different. The air feels like a holiday, the water’s doing that “I’m not even trying” sparkle, and suddenly everyone’s mood improves by 73%.

Which was perfect timing, because we had a private hens party Paint and Sip to run for Jess’ upcoming wedding and her crew came in HOT: excited, ready to laugh, and already in full “we’re here to celebrate our girl” mode.

The vibe: cocktails, colour, and views that should be illegal

This session had everything:

  • a hens crew that actually likes each other (rare, we know)

  • drinks flowing

  • that Airlie Beach holiday glow

  • and views so good they basically deserve their own ticket price

If you’ve ever tried to host an event when the scenery is this stunning, you’ll understand the problem. Everyone keeps wandering off to stare into the distance like they’re in a music video. Rude, but fair.

How it ran (aka organised fun, not art school)

Private Paint Juicy sessions aren’t “quiet little paint and sip sessions”. They’re a party with paint.

We kicked off with a quick intro so everyone knew what we were painting and how the session flows, then we got straight into the easy wins. Big brush strokes first, confidence boosters early, and a bunch of little “watch this” tricks so everyone ends up with something they’re proud to take home.

Then the hens magic happens:

  • everyone starts complimenting each other like it’s a competitive sport

  • someone gets bold with colour and accidentally makes a masterpiece

  • someone says “mine’s cursed” and then it turns out iconic

  • Jess gets hyped up every 11 minutes minimum (as she should)

The paintings: same steps, totally different vibes

Everyone painted the same core design, but every canvas ended up with its own personality. Some went bright and punchy, some went soft and beachy, and some leaned into the chaos like “this is now my signature style”.

That’s the best part of Paint and Sip. You don’t need to be an artist. You just need to show up, have a laugh, and trust that we’ll get you there.

Why Airlie Beach is made for hens parties

Airlie is one of those places where you can do it all without it feeling like hard work:

  • beaches

  • boats

  • cocktails

  • pub feeds

  • long, lazy afternoons

  • and then a private Paint and Sip that actually gives the group a proper shared memory (and a canvas to take home and brag about forever)

It’s fun, it’s different, it suits mixed groups, and it’s not just “another dinner” where everyone ends up scrolling on their phones halfway through.

Jess, have the best wedding in August

Jess, you absolute legend, your crew turned up and understood the assignment.
Thank you for having us be part of your hens weekend. The laughs were loud, the energy was perfect, and the view… yeah, we’re still not over it.

Have the best wedding in August, and to the hens crew: thanks for being iconic, unhinged in the right ways, and genuinely lovely humans.

If you’re planning a hens party in Airlie Beach and want something fun, easy, and actually memorable, a private Paint Juicy Paint and Sip is a bloody good shout.
