Can I bring my own food and drinks to a paint and sip?

The answer is the same for food as it is for drinks - it depends on where the session is being held.

At a licensed venue

When Paint Juicy hosts a public session at a pub, club or function venue, that venue operates under a food and liquor licence. They supply their own food and drinks and external BYO is not permitted.

Most Paint Juicy venue partners offer a bar and bar snacks at minimum, and many have a full food menu available. Some offer a grazing platter or snack option for private bookings held at their venue. Check the event listing for the venue name and then look at their website for the full food and beverage offering.

Arriving hungry is fine. Arriving with your own cheese board less so.

At a private event, home session or Airbnb

When Paint Juicy comes to you, it is fully BYO for both food and drinks. No restrictions, no licensing considerations.

Bring whatever you like to eat and drink. Grazing platters are extremely popular at home sessions - something people can pick at between painting steps without needing to stop. Finger food, charcuterie, dips and snacks all work brilliantly.

One practical note: avoid anything that requires cutlery or plates that you will have to juggle alongside a paintbrush. Easy-grab food works better than a full sit-down meal during a painting session.

What about the bottomless paint and sip sessions?

Paint Juicy runs bottomless sessions at select venues where food and drinks are included in the $99 ticket price. At a bottomless session, the venue handles everything - you do not need to bring food or drinks and you would not be permitted to BYO anyway as it is still a licensed venue.

The event listing will clearly label bottomless sessions if they are on the calendar for your city.

A note on eating while painting

Painting and eating simultaneously is completely normal at a paint and sip. Your dominant hand will have a brush in it, but the other hand is free and the painting steps have natural pauses built in.

Just keep food away from the paint palette. Acrylic on a cracker is technically edible but not recommended.
