Lithgow 70s & 80s Singalong Paint and Sip - Event Recap

The vibe
Lithgow showed up ready. Fairy lights overhead, neon scrunchies and leg warmers, tutus, visors, glitter and more glitter. Daylight through the windows, music up, and a room full of people who came to laugh, sing and make something they were proud to hold up at the end.
What we painted
We started with a sweet giraffe as the demo. Then the fun began. One canvas stayed classic. The next went glam with disco earrings. Someone added a flower crown. Another turned the giraffe into Bambi with big heart-melting eyes. A fox appeared. A highland cow wandered in like it owned the place. That is exactly how we like it. We show the steps, you bring your personality, and the room cheers every choice.
How the session moved
People painted through verses, put brushes down for the big chorus, then picked up again without missing a beat. Tables traded colour ideas and hyped each other. First timers said “I have not painted since school,” then held up a canvas they could not stop smiling at. That is the best bit.
Food and drinks
Order at the bar and bring it back to your easel. No BYO food or alcohol. It keeps the night simple and the vibe relaxed while you decide whether your giraffe needs lashes, lipstick or both.
Finish wall moment
When we lined up the finished pieces, it looked like a personality parade. Purples, aquas, hot pinks, confident lines, delicate details, bold outlines. No two the same and every single one worth a spot on a wall. We heard a few “this is going in the lounge” and one “Mum is getting this for Christmas.” That is a good day in our book.
A gentle note
At a different event, not Lithgow, someone loved a studio original a little too much and took it home by accident. If you adore a display piece, please ask. We will always try to help you find something that is yours to keep.
