Currumbin RSL, you sold it out and then turned it all the way up.

This was an Aussie Rock Paint and Sip with a packed house, a koala on every easel and the sort of energy that makes a normal night feel like a mini festival. No spare seats, no flat patches, just a room full of people having a proper laugh.

If you have ever wondered whether painting and singing at full volume can happen at the same time, the answer is a loud Currumbin yes.

Lotti Rem, the absolute professional

Here is the part that deserves a medal. Lotti came in under the weather, voice strained and not feeling her best, and you would never have known. She sang the night away like nothing was wrong, kept the room lifted and never once let it show. That is what years on the mic looks like. Total pro, start to finish.

Big thanks too to Lotti's family, who came along and helped us set the whole room up before doors. Many hands, easels everywhere, sorted in no time.

The artwork: one koala, a room full of characters

We painted our cuddly koala, which is exactly the kind of piece a big mixed crowd loves. Friendly shapes, room to make it your own, and forgiving enough that first timers walk out genuinely chuffed with what they made.

Some koalas came out sweet, some came out cheeky, a few came out looking like they had opinions. All of them brilliant, every single one different.

They have the whole night planned down to the finest moment, they put on a special menu and cocktail list built around our events, and the speed the food and drinks came out was honestly impressive. Nobody waiting, nobody parched, everybody happy.
