Mackay Paint and Sip Recap: Movie Night, Singing, and a Big Ass Fan
Mackay turned on the humidity dial and snapped it clean off. All that recent rain meant the air was thick, the kind of night where your fringe gives up and your drink sweats more than you do. And still, a full house rocked up ready to paint, sip, and belt out tunes like they’d been training for it.
Honestly, that’s why we love Mackay. You lot don’t flinch. You just show up anyway.
The vibe: humid outside, chaos inside (the good kind)
It was drizzling on and off. Inside though, it was all colour, laughter, and people immediately getting stuck into the canvas like they had something to prove.
We went with a movie theme for the night, which always brings out big energy. People get nostalgic, they get chatty, and suddenly everyone’s got an opinion about what counts as a “classic”.
The unsung hero: Big Ass Fan (yes, that’s the actual company)
Now, let’s talk about the real MVP.
Whoever installed a Big Ass Fan in that space deserves a medal, a raise, and a cold beverage. The air was moving, we weren’t melting into the floor, and it meant we could actually enjoy the night instead of quietly wilting while pretending we’re “fine”.
Outside: sticky, damp, drizzly.
Inside: airflow, singing, and people living their best lives.

The best part was how contagious the energy got. It wasn’t just our crew singing along. Even other customers in the venue were in the mood, joining in like it was their own private concert.
That’s peak Paint Juicy right there. It stops being “an event” and turns into a proper night out. Paint on hands, a tune in your head, and that little moment where you look around and go, yep, this is bloody fun.
Full house, big laughs, and heaps of take-home art
By the end, the room was full of bright canvases, proud grins, and that satisfied post-session chaos where everyone’s trying not to smudge the wet bits while showing their mate “this part is meant to look like that”.
Mackay, you were legends. Thanks for braving the weather, the humidity, and your own bold artistic choices.
