Harbour Town's open-air dining precinct feeds you first, then Reading Cinemas, the largest multiplex on the Gold Coast with 14 screens and a Gold Class lounge, handles the main event, with an arcade next door for anyone whose competitive streak survives the credits. Free parking, no beachfront markup, zero parking-inspector anxiety.

5. A paint and sip singalong (yes, ours, and we have the receipts twice over)

Modesty would be wasted here, the suburb has already sung with us twice. Paint Juicy runs paint and sip events in Biggera Waters, three hours of paintbrush coaching, full-room singalongs and a drink beside the easel, with zero experience expected.
