The last Friday before Christmas, back at Hog's Breath Cafe Springfield. Lotti Rem on live vocals, 70s and 80s anthems with a handful of Christmas carols tossed in for good measure, and a field of lavender on your easel at sunset. Up to 3 hours, one canvas and the merriest break-up you will have all year.
Good to know: 18+ only. No BYO, licensed venue.

What this night is
Springfield, we are back at Hog's Breath, and this time we are bringing tinsel. It is a 70s and 80s singalong at heart, think disco divas, Countdown-era crowd pleasers and the rock ballads your table has been saving its best air guitar for, with a few Christmas carols slipped into the set so the whole room gets its jingle on before the big day.
Lotti Rem is on live vocals from the first number to the last purple stroke, and you and your table are the backing singers she never asked for but definitely gets. Your host breaks the painting down on the mic, and every gap while a layer dries is prime time for a refill, a selfie and a carol everyone pretends not to know the words to.
Landing one week out from Christmas, it is tailor made for the work crew that never locked in a break-up, the netball girls who want one last hurrah, and the mates who swap Secret Santa gifts every year anyway. Bring the whole lot, or come on your own and we will sit you with good company.
Painting starts at 6pm and brushes go down by 9pm. Hog's Breath sits in Orion Town Centre, an easy run from Springfield Lakes, Augustine Heights, Brookwater, Camira and Redbank Plains. Ipswich dates just down the road are on our Ipswich paint and sip page, the rest of the 70s and 80s dates are under 70s and 80s singalong sessions, and every date in the state is on our QLD events.
Tonight's Artwork
Lavender Fields
Picture the last half hour of a summer day. A warm apricot sky fades up into soft lilac cloud, a pale sun slips behind a ridge of blue hills, and a cluster of gum trees stands dark against the glow on the left. Below it all, rows of lavender run toward you in violet, plum and royal purple, sprinkled with pink and peach where the sunset lands. Every row is built from quick, chunky strokes, so there is no wrong mark to make, and even a nervous first-timer finishes with a field worth framing.

Wear something you can laugh off a splash on. Aprons are provided, but purple is a stubborn colour.
Dress ups are very welcome. Flares, sequins, legwarmers, a Santa hat, or all four at once. Go all in.

Buy a Gift CardHow the session runs
Rock in, order something festive and take your seat, with your canvas and gear already laid out.
Lotti opens the set, your host calls the first layer and that apricot sunset starts to glow.
Pauses between layers for top ups, photos and a carol or two.
Last dabs of lavender, group photo, and home you go with a canvas under your arm and a voice that has earned its Christmas break.
FAQs
Who is singing?
Lotti Rem, live all night, working through the 70s and 80s with a few Christmas carols along the way.
What are we painting?
Lavender Fields: rows of purple lavender, a cluster of gum trees and an apricot sunset. Prefer a pink sky or a dash of Christmas red in the field? Just say so on the night and your host will help you swap the colours, free of charge.
Do I have to sing?
No pressure at all. The carols usually win over even the quiet ones.
What time does it finish?
Painting starts at 6pm and you are done by 9pm, up to 3 hours all up.
I have never painted. Will I cope?
Easily. The sky goes on in broad sweeps and the lavender is loose, chunky strokes, so there is nothing fiddly to get wrong.
Is it good for a work Christmas party?
Perfect for it. Book the whole office in one go, or pop your team name in the order notes so everyone lands at the same table. Celebrating a birthday too? Tell us and we will give them a shout out.
Can I come by myself?
Yes. Lots of guests come solo, and we will make sure you are sitting with friendly faces.
Our group is booking separately. Can we still sit together?
Yes. As long as everyone uses the same group name in their order notes, we will keep you together.
Can I bring my own food or drinks?
No BYO. Hog's Breath is a licensed restaurant, so food and drinks are available from the venue.
Where is it?
Hog's Breath Cafe Springfield, Orion Town Centre, 1 Main St, Springfield Central QLD 4300.
Can we book a private session instead?
Yes. Private sessions are $700 AUD flat for the first 10 guests and $65 per additional guest, with a minimum of 10 paid guests. Send us the details and we will sort a date.
Where do I buy tickets?
Right here on the Paint Juicy website. Tickets are online only and not sold at the door.
