Why Paint Juicy CONNECT? Because Paint Juicy connects!

We are the original Nostalgic Remakers

Queensland and New South Wales · 42,000+ guests · 4.9 stars on Google

Gladstone keeps odd hours. Somebody is always starting a shift, finishing one or sleeping one off, and a harbour that rarely sleeps sets the tempo. So when four friends finally share a free Saturday, they guard it like a grand final ticket. That's the night your business wants a part in: one table, a canvas each, a drink within reach and a chorus last belted out with the windows wound down on the Dawson Highway.

Paint Juicy CONNECT puts Gladstone businesses and brands inside those nights. Paint Juicy ("Paint") is a travelling paint and sip show with a live host, a singalong and trivia moments, rolling into venues all over Queensland and New South Wales. Our patch here runs from Yarwun and Calliope through Boyne Island and Tannum Sands to Agnes Water. Every format branches off the CONNECT hub.

A port city on rosters: the Gladstone region in numbers

Good Gladstone advertising starts with knowing who lives here and what gets them up before the sun. Every figure below comes from the ABS, Council or Gladstone Ports Corporation.

69,046 people, and still adding

The Gladstone council area held 69,046 residents at 30/06/2025, up 1,097, or 1.6 per cent, in one year, according to ABS estimates published 31/03/2026. They're spread across 10,484 square kilometres. A thousand-odd new neighbours in a single year is a thousand-odd people with no loyalty to anybody's coffee yet.

Grown-ups with trades and tickets

The 2021 Census counted 63,515 people, with a median age of 38, level with Queensland, and women at 49.3 per cent. Tradies and technicians made up 20.6 per cent of workers, the single biggest group, and machinery operators and drivers another 12.2 per cent. The woman at a Paint table here may be on a roster herself, or running a household around somebody else's.

Smelters, refineries and a very busy harbour

The Census industry list reads like a site induction: aluminium smelting first at 5.7 per cent of employed residents, then alumina production at 3.6 per cent. Gladstone Ports Corporation's About the Port factsheet calls the Port of Gladstone one of Australia's premier multi-commodity ports, with annual throughput of more than 119 million tonnes, from coal and bauxite to alumina, aluminium, cement and LNG.

Beaches, a lake and Seventeen Seventy

Council's region map stretches from Yarwun past Tannum Sands and Lake Awoonga down to Agnes Water and Seventeen Seventy. A Tannum Sands boutique and an Agnes Water surf shop can share a council without sharing many customers, so a sharp brief names the towns that count.

Paint knows Gladstone, and your brief sets the night

Gladstone is already on Paint's map, alongside Central Queensland neighbours Rockhampton and Yeppoon. The closest big number belongs to Yeppoon, where 100 guests packed a Saturday 80s and 90s singalong on 01/08/2026. Head south and the rooms get louder: 117 at Sunshine Beach and 120 at Currumbin on consecutive April 2026 Fridays, then 151 at Springfield, the biggest of the lot. Each figure counts paid seats from Paint's own sales records, never views or likes.

Built on request, from the brief up

Brief us and Paint can build a Gladstone night around your business. You can ask for the decade and the night, put your name on the listing and have your scene on the canvas, all locked in before tickets go on sale. The brief comes first, so the songs, the scene and the offer all point at the customer you actually want.

Why Paint Juicy CONNECT? Because Paint Juicy connects!

Gladstone gives that line a proper workout. One sister is on day shift at a refinery, another on nights at the hospital, a best mate drives in from Tannum Sands and a workmate swears she can't paint a fence. Lining up four calendars takes a shutdown coordinator. Once they're seated, Paint supplies the songs they grew up on, quiz questions between layers and a canvas worth hanging. CONNECT's job is the extra link: a local business that made the night better. Guests always know which moments are paid for, and their details never leave Paint.

From knock-off to the week after: one guest, one Gladstone night

Most local advertising meets her halfway through something else: a radio spot on the Dawson Highway, up against a road train, or a flyer that goes from letterbox to recycling bin in one smooth motion. Neither gets more than a second of her.

Now follow one guest instead. Call her Kylie. She knocks off, scrubs the shift away and meets her sister at the venue. While the room fills, the Paint radio session plays, and between two tracks she knows by heart she hears a local owner talking up the business in the owner's own voice. A card at her seat carries the offer and a QR code, which she scans while her brush is still clean.

By the second layer she might be painting a scene your business sponsored. By the last chorus your gift is in her handbag, and nobody has pitched her a thing, because brand moments sit in the gaps, never on top of the singalong. A fortnight later, on a day off, she finds the card and drops in to claim what's waiting. Your till can count that step. Four Gladstone briefs we'd happily take on

None of these have run. They're sketches built on types of business, never real names, showing how the formats bend around a port city and its beaches.

The 24-hour gym that trains around the roster

Picture a gym open around the clock, chasing members who keep promising to start after this swing. A one-week pass goes in every gift bag, good for a month so a guest coming off nights can still use it, and the front desk scans each one. That's goodie bags at Paint nights doing a job a billboard can't.

Lake Awoonga, hanging in her hallway

Picture a Boyne Island real estate agency that wants to be the name locals think of when they hang something on a new wall. It sponsors a Lake Awoonga sunrise, or the harbour lit up after dark, with its logo as a signature-sized mark in one corner. The scene must earn its spot above the couch on looks alone, the rule our sponsored artwork page lives by.

A Seventeen Seventy day trip for the boldest brush

Picture a tour operator out of Seventeen Seventy or Agnes Water backing the canvases. At the end of the night the host lines up the standout paintings, the room cheers for its favourite and the winning painter heads out on a day trip. Talent takes the prize, never a ticket stub.

The hardware store chasing Saturday foot traffic

Picture a hardware and garden store that wants locals through its doors on a weekend. The day before a Gladstone region night, a Paint street crew sets up out the front with mini canvases, and every adult who adds a stroke takes home a card for a free punnet of seedlings. Ideas like this live with street teams and town activations.

Easter crowds, local weeks and timing your offer

Gladstone's calendar has one very loud long weekend. Every Easter, Council wraps its Easter in Gladstone program around the long-running Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race and the Gladstone Harbour Festival, and Council talks of thousands of visitors. Selling to out-of-towners? Have your offer ready for that window. Selling to locals? The weeks either side are when the city has its streets back.

Tell us when your trade peaks, from a gifting date to the run into Christmas, and we'll plan your activation around it. Give any offer three or four weeks to live, so someone finishing a long block of shifts can still use it. Queensland's public and school holidays sit on our marketing calendar.

Before you brief us: Gladstone questions, straight up

Our tourism business is down at Agnes Water. Is a Gladstone region night any use to us?

It can be, if you aim at the right person. Locals are often the ones who host visiting family, recommend the day trip and book the birthday weekend away. Win over a table of them and you win the relatives they bring next. Tell us which part of the region matters and we'll shape the brief around it, from the scene on the easel to the offer in the bag.

We supply the port and the plants, not households. Is CONNECT a fit for a business-to-business firm?

Honestly, a Paint night isn't where you'll sign your next contract. It's where the town gets to know your name while it's in a great mood. The women in the room are partners, mums and neighbours, some work in the industry themselves, and they all talk. A labelled moment on the night, or your scene on the canvas, builds goodwill that pays off when you're hiring. It suits a patient brand.

Easter brings thousands of visitors to Gladstone. Should our offer chase them or the locals?

Chase whoever can come back. A visitor heading home on Easter Monday can't redeem a voucher three weeks later, so if visitors are your market, make the offer something she can use that weekend or buy online. Locals are the safer bet for most shops, salons and cafés, because a code with a few weeks of life fits around rosters and pay cycles.

After a Gladstone night, what lands on our desk?

Two things. Paint sends a proof pack covering what ran in the room and when. You count the rest, through a code or QR offer that only you track at the counter or online. Guests who want to hear more opt in through your own offer, because Paint never hands over guest data. Nobody can honestly promise sales from one night, and we won't.

Your move

Send us your Gladstone brief and tell us what you sell

Why Paint Juicy CONNECT? Because Paint Juicy connects! In Gladstone, that could be your voice in the room as a Tannum Sands table packs up, your harbour on every canvas, or your gym pass riding home to Calliope in a handbag. Tell us what you sell, which towns matter and what guests should do next, and a plan comes straight back. Every format lives on the CONNECT hub, and how we look after guests has a page of its own.
