Experiential marketing in NSW works best when the crowd is already there, already happy and already singing. Paint Juicy CONNECT puts your brand inside Paint's own singalong paint and sip nights across New South Wales, from the Northern Rivers down the coast, into the Hunter, up to the tablelands and across to Penrith on Sydney's western edge.
She gets to try, taste, hold and carry home what you make, inside up to 3 hours she chose for herself. This page is the statewide view: the biggest NSW rooms, the people living beyond the Sydney postcodes, the calendar quirks only NSW has, and which town page to open once you know your patch.

Cessnock 110, Armidale 101: the NSW nights that set the bar
On a Friday in the Hunter, 110 guests booked into one Cessnock room for a 70s and 80s singalong. Up on the New England tablelands, Armidale answered with 101 for the same theme. Those are paid seats at public nights, counted in Paint's own sales records, not a hopeful guess at foot traffic past a stall.
Now picture triple figures at the second chorus: every easel taken, tables loaded with sisters, mums, old school friends and workmates, and a host lifting the room for a song most of them last belted out at a B&S ball. Then picture your brand on the canvas, in the goodie bag beside their brushes, or poured at the bar where the venue says yes.
Paint has welcomed 42,000+ guests, thousands of women among them, and holds 4.9 stars on Google. That's the stage your brand would be stepping onto.

Beyond the Harbour City: who lives in the rest of NSW
NSW is a big state with one very big city tucked into a corner of it. The ABS counted 8.67 million people across New South Wales at 31/03/2026, in figures released on 17/09/2026. A lot of the people behind that number live well beyond it, and that's where most of Paint's NSW nights happen.
At the 2021 Census, 2,829,637 people lived in NSW outside Greater Sydney, and their median age was 43. Inside Greater Sydney, it was 37. Put plainly, half the people living beyond Sydney were 43 or older. If your best customers are in their forties, fifties, sixties and beyond, regional NSW is not a side market. It's home turf.
The rest of the state keeps growing, too. The ABS regional population release of 31/03/2026 shows regional NSW adding 25,200 people (0.9%) in the year to 30/06/2025. Greater Sydney grew 1.4% overall, yet more people moved out of it to other parts of Australia than moved in, a net loss of about 33,300.
Who fills the easels? Mostly women, from their thirties into their nineties, booking as a pack of friends, sisters, mums and workmates. The Census says she's out there in numbers. A Paint night is where you meet her in person.

Why a NSW brand activation lands better in a room than on the highway
Regional NSW spends a fair chunk of life on the road. The Pacific Highway between coastal towns, the New England up the range, the Great Western over the mountains. Billboards and drive-time ads meet her at 100 kilometres an hour, with a truck in the mirror and a servo stop on her mind.
A brand activation in NSW changes the speed completely. At a Paint night she's parked for the evening, brush in hand, and the woman at the next easel is someone she actually trusts. A sample passed down the table, a voucher tucked into her bag, a scene she paints and hangs in the hallway: each one is a real encounter with your product, not a glance through a windscreen.
That's the swap. The highway gives you a few seconds and a blur. The room gives you her whole evening, with a host lifting the energy, a live singalong often fronted by Lotti, and trivia while the paint dries. Your brand arrives as part of the fun, not as a sign she flew past near Kempsey.

Daylight saving, long weekends and local holidays: timing a NSW campaign
NSW keeps a few calendar habits that trip up brands planning from north of the border.
- The clocks. NSW daylight saving begins at 2am on the first Sunday in October and ends at 3am on the first Sunday in April. Queensland stays put, so through the warmer months an email scheduled for 6pm in Brisbane lands at 7pm in Ballina.
- The long weekends. The NSW public holiday list puts the King's Birthday in June and Labour Day on a Monday in early October, usually the same weekend the clocks spring forward. Lose an hour on Sunday, gain a day off on Monday.
- The Bank Holiday. The first Monday in August shuts retail bank branches and certain financial institutions, but it isn't a declared public holiday, so everyone else trades as usual.
- Local holidays. Regional and rural NSW communities can have their own public holidays declared for a day of local significance, so check the town before you lock in a launch.
Every statewide date for both states sits in our marketing calendar. Then we match the theme to your brand: ABBA or a 70s and 80s singalong for a heritage label, Neon and UV for something bright and new, Aussie Rock for a brand with a bit of grit.

Three ways a NSW brand could play it
Every example below is imagined, built from formats CONNECT offers today.
A coastal skincare label, working its way down the map
Picture a skincare maker from the Northern Rivers riding a regional touring campaign: Ballina first, then Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie and the Central Coast. A hand cream sits at every place setting, perfect for acrylic-stained fingers, and each town gets its own code so the label can see which stretch of coast redeemed the most.
A Hunter cellar door on a big 70s and 80s night
Picture a family winery pouring a tasting at the bar on a venue-approved night, strictly 18+, then sending every guest home with a take-home offer with its own code: a free tasting at the cellar door. The night does the introducing. The vineyard does the rest a few weeks later.
Orange blossom, painted by the whole room
Picture an Orange orchard that's been in the same family for generations turning its spring blossom into the painting itself. With sponsored artwork, a room full of locals spends the night bringing that scene to life, then hangs it at home. Every time she walks past it, the orchard gets another quiet mention.

The same house rules on both sides of the Tweed
A brand crossing the border doesn't get looser rules in NSW. The room belongs to the guests who paid for it:
- Guests are told when a brand is paying to be there. No exceptions, no fine print.
- Guest data never changes hands. Your offer, through a QR card or a code, is the only way a guest reaches your list.
- Prizes are earned on skill, from the standout canvas to the trivia table that knew every answer.
- No venue sign-off, no tasting. When one goes ahead, it runs on the venue's licence and alcohol stays strictly 18+.
- Fees are paid in money. Your product can sweeten an activation but never covers the bill.
A short list of categories never makes it through the door, and the brand safety and guest-first rules page explains each one.

NSW questions, answered straight
Where in NSW does Paint Juicy CONNECT run?
CONNECT runs in Queensland and New South Wales only. In NSW, that means the towns Paint has played, from Ballina, Lismore and Grafton down through Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie to the Hunter and the Central Coast, plus Armidale, Orange and Penrith. If your customers live somewhere Paint hasn't played yet, name the town in your enquiry and we'll talk about building a night there.
Can one campaign cover NSW and Queensland together?
Yes. A single brief can run nights on both sides of the border, Each night is still planned and reported town by town, so you can see which stretch of the map pulled its weight. The one quirk is the clock: from October to April, NSW sits an hour ahead of Queensland, so set send times and offer deadlines by state.
Can a NSW wine, beer or spirits brand pour tastings at a Paint night?
Only where the venue approves it, under the venue's own liquor licence and house rules, and strictly for guests 18 and over. Plenty of drinks brands pair a tasting with a take-home voucher, such as a free tasting paddle at the cellar door or brewery, so the conversation carries on at your place, on her terms.
What will we get back after our NSW nights?
A proof pack, reported town by town, so you can see whether Coffs Harbour or Cessnock worked harder for your brand. Bring your own redemption or scan numbers and we'll line them up beside each night. What goes into the pack, and what it never promises, is walked through in how Paint Juicy CONNECT works step by step.
How much does it cost to advertise at Paint nights in NSW?
That depends on what you want the night to do. A goodie bag offer in Port Macquarie and a canvas that tours from Ballina to Penrith are priced as the separate jobs they are, so send us your towns and your idea and we'll quote that scope. How CONNECT pricing works is explained on the Paint Juicy CONNECT hub.

Why Paint Juicy CONNECT? Because Paint Juicy connects! One short note gets you into the next big NSW room.
