Experiential marketing in Queensland gets a whole lot easier when the crowd has already bought a ticket. One Friday in Springfield, out in Brisbane's west, 151 guests packed a single ABBA Live night and sang every word. That's the kind of room Paint Juicy ("Paint") brings to towns from the Gold Coast to Cairns, and Paint Juicy CONNECT is how your brand gets a seat inside it.
This is the state-sized view: why a spread-out state needs a spread-out plan, where Paint's nights land and how the Queensland year moves. The full menu of formats sits on the Paint Juicy CONNECT hub.

Half of Queensland lives outside Brisbane. Plan like it
Most states pile their people into one capital. Queensland doesn't. At the 2021 Census, 50.7 per cent of Queenslanders lived outside Greater Brisbane, and the Queensland Government Statistician's Office census comparison found only Tasmania kept a lower share in its capital city area.
Both halves keep growing. The ABS put Queensland's population at about 5.74 million at 31/03/2026, up 1.6 per cent in a year. Its regional population figures, released 31/03/2026, showed the rest of the state adding 39,700 people across 2024-25 while Greater Brisbane added 58,200.
For event marketing in Queensland, that changes the maths. Stop at the city limits and you miss half the state. Try to cover everyone with one broadcast buy and you pay for a lot of empty highway. The sweet spot is real rooms in the towns where your customers live, run to one standard from the south-east to the far north.

The towns already on Paint's Queensland map
Paint is 100% mobile. The hosts, canvases, music, live singalong and trivia rounds all travel to the venue, which is how one Queensland map gets this long.
- The south-east: Currumbin, Helensvale and Biggera Waters on the Gold Coast, Everton Park and Springfield around Brisbane, Buderim and Sunshine Beach on the Sunshine Coast.
- The Wide Bay: Hervey Bay and Bundaberg.
- Central Queensland: Gladstone, Rockhampton and Yeppoon on the Capricorn Coast.
- The north: Mackay, Townsville and Cairns.
Every room runs the same show to the same guest-first rules. What changes is the local flavour: the venue, the chorus screamed loudest, the business the locals swear by. One Queensland brief can travel the length of the coast while each town still feels it was planned just for them.

Why a Paint room suits event marketing in Queensland
The crowd turns up on its own
The expensive part of most brand activation in Queensland is pulling a crowd. A car park pop-up has to win its audience again every day. Guests book their seats before the night, so your budget goes into the room, not into coaxing anyone through the door. The big nights push past 100 guests, and Springfield's 151 is the high-water mark so far.
One standard over a very long coastline
Across distances like Queensland's, a campaign usually means a new supplier and a new set of surprises in every town. Inside CONNECT, the hosts, approvals and reporting stay consistent, because it's Paint running Paint's own nights.
Every sense, not one slot
Your brand can be heard between songs, tasted where the venue approves it, tucked into the goodie bag or painted into the picture. Sponsored artwork suits scenery like Queensland's: a Sunshine Coast headland or a jacaranda street in spring, with your brand worked in and hung on her wall for years.

Pick your Queensland shape: one town, one corridor or the coast
A Queensland campaign doesn't have to be all or nothing. Most take one of four shapes.
- One town. Start where your shopfront is. One night with your offer in the goodie bags tells you fast whether the room suits you.
- One corridor. The Gold Coast, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast sit close enough to run as one patch, with a code per night so you can compare suburbs at your own till.
- Up the coast. Stockists from Hervey Bay to Cairns? String those towns into a single campaign, built the way our regional and touring campaigns are.
- The whole year. If you want your category to yourself on every Queensland night, a category partnership plans twelve months around themes and towns.
Whatever the shape, the path from brief to proof pack is the same, and how Paint Juicy CONNECT works walks through it step by step.

How the Queensland year moves
Queensland keeps its own time, in more ways than one.
- Wet up north, dry down the track. The Bureau of Meteorology describes the tropical wet season as October to April, with the dry from May to September. Paint nights are indoors, but rain can shape roads, travel and how long an offer should stay valid.
- Show holidays, district by district. Queensland's show holidays are appointed each year and apply to specific districts, as the Queensland Government show holiday list sets out. Brisbane's Ekka holiday lands in August, so a long weekend in one town can be an ordinary Monday in the next.
- Clocks that stay put. Queensland skips daylight saving while NSW moves its clocks, as NSW Communities and Justice spells out, so through summer an evening start sits an hour apart either side of the Tweed border.
- The celebration peaks. Mother's Day brings mums, daughters and nans to the same table, and the run to Christmas turns every workplace into a party planning committee.
Public holidays, school holidays and gifting days are mapped in the marketing calendar 2027. If your offer has to beat a date, tell us early, because event artwork must be ready before a night goes on sale.

The women filling Queensland's Paint rooms
Look around a Queensland room: mostly women, from their thirties into their nineties, arriving with friends, sisters, mums or workmates. Thousands of women are among the 42,000+ guests who have painted with Paint.
They come for the songs they grew up on, a canvas worth hanging and a proper night with their people. Ask what they loved and two words keep coming back: fun and atmosphere. On Google, Paint sits at 4.9 stars. Closer to home, it has been recognised as a Best of Queensland Experience every year since 2022, which counts when you're asking Queenslanders to trust the brand standing beside it.
No income brackets, no buying intentions, no blended reach figure. You get paid seats per night from Paint's own ticketing, in a proof pack you can forward upstairs.

The house rules ride along to every Queensland venue
Queenslanders will forgive plenty, but never a brand that wrecks their night out. So the same rules travel with every room:
- Paid relationships are disclosed to guests, starting with "presented by" on the listing.
- Prizes are won on skill, never on chance.
- Guest data is never shared. Your offer collects its own opt-ins through a QR or unique code.
- Tastings need the venue's yes and run on its licence, with anything alcoholic kept strictly 18+.
- Fees are paid in money. Product can be part of an activation but never replaces the fee.
A handful of categories never get through the door, and our brand safety and guest-first rules explain why.

Questions Queensland marketers ask first
We sell in Brisbane and up the coast. Does that mean two separate campaigns?
No, one brief does both. It can run across the south-east and up the coast, with the same creative and a local twist in each town, such as a different offer or code. Each night is reported separately, so you can see how Springfield compared with Mackay instead of reading one blended total. If a town on your list isn't on the calendar yet, ask and we'll look at building a night there.
Our head office is in another state. Can we still run CONNECT in Queensland?
Absolutely. Plenty of brands sell into Queensland from interstate, and a Paint night is a friendly way to arrive in a new market. You brief us once, sign off every piece of creative before guests see it, and the nights run in the Queensland towns that match your stores or stockists. Just mind the clocks: through summer, a Queensland start time sits an hour behind Sydney's.
How far ahead should we plan a Queensland campaign?
As early as you can, and earliest of all if your brand belongs on the canvas. Goodie bag offers, host mentions and audio spots come together faster. Seasonal pushes, like a Mother's Day offer, are worth raising months ahead so the right nights are still open. A long list of towns is another reason to start early, because it gives us room to suggest the smartest order to run them.
How is a Queensland campaign priced?
It's quoted to fit. Once we know your towns, how many nights you're after and which formats appeal, we put together one Queensland plan and price it, and the pricing notes on the CONNECT hub explain the thinking. Fees are paid in money. Any samples or vouchers your brand hands to guests sit alongside that fee, never inside it.
Can we see a Queensland Paint night before we commit?
Yes, by arrangement. Watching a room in full voice is the quickest way to judge whether your brand belongs there, and it helps you picture where a sample, a canvas or a spot between songs would land. Tell us which part of Queensland suits you and we'll suggest a night. Keep it low-key, though, because the guests paid for their night out, not a site visit.
