“The whole room felt like joy!!”
Thermie Carmie, five-star Google review
Real nights, real canvases
Painted by real guests
Every one of these Santorini doorway canvases was painted by a guest at a Paint Juicy night, one step at a time, somewhere between the singalongs. No art skills needed. Yours is next.
Mixtape mood
Songs you might be singing
- Livin' on a Prayer, Bon Jovi
- I Wanna Dance with Somebody, Whitney Houston

Every night's playlist is a little different, so treat this as the vibe, not the setlist.
Your Saturday night just got a serious upgrade. 80s and 90s bangers, step by step painting, singalong moments and a room full of people who know every word. You leave with a finished canvas and a sore voice.
Good to know: 18+ only. No BYO, bar at venue.
Recognised as a Best of Queensland Experience every year since 2022
What this night is
Here's a Saturday night in Dubbo that ends with a finished painting and a voice that's had a proper workout. Paint Juicy is taking over the Dubbo RSL Memorial Club, on the corner of Brisbane and Wingewarra Streets, for a night of 80s and 90s singalongs with a paintbrush in hand. Painting starts at 6pm and the whole night runs up to three hours, so you're wrapped by about nine with a canvas under your arm and plenty of Saturday still in the tank.
The music does the heavy lifting. The 80s come out swinging early with power ballads and synth hooks, the kind of songs that owned every school disco, before the set slides into the 90s and the boy band harmonies take over. A live singer leads it from the front alongside your host artist, so you're getting a performance rather than a playlist, and requests are welcome right through the night.
Your canvas is Santorini, a whitewashed doorway in deep cobalt with hot pink bougainvillea spilling over it and the Aegean stretching out behind. Your host talks the room through it layer by layer on the mic. The pauses while each layer dries are built in, which is handy, because that's exactly when someone at your table requests the next song. Nobody needs to have painted before, and plenty of people who last held a brush in Year 8 walk out quietly chuffed with themselves.
It's a cracking pick for a birthday that deserves more than a booked table, or a hens group that wants every single guest joining in. Coming on your own is completely normal too. We'll seat you with a friendly bunch and you'll be belting out choruses with them well before your sky is dry.
The drive in is easy from Narromine, Wellington, Geurie and Gilgandra, and the club has its own bars and the Sunset Bistro on site. We're working our way through the Central West that week, with Bathurst on the Thursday and Orange on the Friday. The other Dubbo paint and sip nights are gathered in one spot, and everything else is on the full NSW calendar.
Tonight's Artwork
Santorini
A whitewashed Greek hideaway with a deep cobalt door, framed by tumbling bougainvillea in hot pink and red. A round blue pot sits on the step with petals scattered across the warm stone, and just past it the Aegean stretches out in every shade of blue under a soft summer sky. It is a holiday in a frame, the kind of scene that makes the whole room sigh the second it lands on the easel. Loose, bright and completely doable from the very first brushstroke, with all the room you want to make those blues your own.

Before you arrive
Arrive early. The Dubbo RSL Memorial Club has food and drinks ready before the session kicks off. Get settled in, grab a drink and find your seat before we start.
Wear clothes you do not mind painting in. We supply aprons but acrylic paint is enthusiastic and occasionally ambitious.
Dress ups are absolutely welcomed. 80s and 90s gear gets a big reaction from the room. Shoulder pads, scrunchies, bucket hats, go for it.
Tickets are online only. They are not sold at the door. Book yours before the night.

FAQs
Is there a live singer, or just a playlist?
A live singer, working the 80s and 90s songbook in the room alongside your host artist. Shout out a request at any point and there's a fair chance you'll hear it before the night is out.
What's going on the canvas?
Santorini. A whitewashed Greek doorway in cobalt blue, hot pink bougainvillea tumbling over it and the sea stretching out behind. The blues are loose and forgiving, which makes it a lovely first painting.
When does the night kick off and wrap up?
The first brushstroke is at 6pm, and with up to 3 hours on the clock you'll be packing your canvas up around 9pm.
My art skills peaked in primary school. Will I cope?
You'll be fine. Your host splits the painting into bite-sized steps and demonstrates every one first. No sketching or prior skill needed, and nobody is marking your brushwork.
Is there any pressure to sing along?
Not a chance we'd force you. Fair warning though, there's usually a 90s chorus about an hour in that cracks even the quiet ones.
Is it OK to book a single seat?
Totally. Solo bookings are common, and we'll put you at a table of friendly people so you're never short of someone to duet with.
We all bought our own tickets. Can we still be at one table?
Yes, easily. Agree on a group name, then each of you types it into the "sitting with friends" box as you pay. We'll handle the seating.
Can we BYO, or is there a bar?
No BYO at this one. The Dubbo RSL Memorial Club has its own bars and the Sunset Bistro on site, so you'll be well looked after for drinks and a feed.
Someone in our group is celebrating. Can you make a fuss of them?
We'd love to. Hens and birthday groups are a perfect fit for this night. Tell us in the checkout note who the guest of honour is and why we're celebrating, and your host will give them a shout-out mid-session.
Can I just rock up to the RSL and pay?
Sadly not. Seats for this one are only sold through this page, and nobody on the door can sell you one, so sort yours before Saturday.
Can our crew have the whole session to ourselves?
Yes. For a group of 10 or more paid seats, it's a flat $700 AUD covering your first 10 people, then $65 a head for anyone extra. You choose from our artwork catalogue, and we can tweak the colours and details at no charge. Have a look at private parties.

"A debut for me. It was so well organised, the singer was so good and very entertaining as were the two guys. Great safe venue, no judgement everyone had a ball and unleashed their inner artist. Fabulous night."
