80s & 90s Singalong Paint and Sip 23rd January Wyong NSW 6pm
“The whole room felt like joy!!”
Thermie Carmie, five-star Google review
Real nights, real canvases
Painted by real guests
Every one of these Red Peacock canvases was painted by a guest at a Paint Juicy night, one step at a time, somewhere between the singalongs. No art skills needed. Yours is next.
Mixtape mood
Songs you might be singing
- Livin' on a Prayer, Bon Jovi
- I Wanna Dance with Somebody, Whitney Houston
- Don't Stop Believin', Journey
- Wannabe, Spice Girls
- ...Baby One More Time, Britney Spears
- Torn, Natalie Imbruglia
Every night's playlist is a little different, so treat this as the vibe, not the setlist.
Saturday night at Wyong Golf Club, and the Central Coast is about to prove it remembers every word. A live singer on the mic, two decades of choruses you swore you had forgotten, and a cobalt peacock strutting across a red sky that paints a whole lot easier than it looks. One canvas, one very loud room.
Good to know: 18+ only. No BYO, food and drinks at the club.
Recognised as a Best of Queensland Experience every year since 2022
What this night is
Central Coast, clear your Saturday. We are rolling into Wyong Golf Club for a 6pm singalong built entirely on the 80s and 90s. Synth pop you cannot sit still for, the grunge anthem that lived on your Walkman, Britpop swagger, R&B slow jams and at least one boy band ballad with a key change the whole room commits to, ready or not.
The vocals are live from start to finish. A real singer in the room turns polite humming into full table harmonies before the drinks are halfway down. Your host splits the painting into simple stages between songs, and every pause while a layer dries is when the volume really climbs.
Bring the work crew that never manages a proper night out, your cousins, or the mates who keep promising a catch-up that never quite happens. Flying solo? We will slot you in with a friendly bunch, no awkward small talk required.
It is an easy trip from Tuggerah, Watanobbi, Kanwal, Wadalba and Mardi, and the club has food and drinks on, so come early and eat first. Making a weekend of it? The very next afternoon we are singing the same two decades at our Quakers Hill singalong. Every Wyong date lives on our Wyong events page, more nights from both decades sit in 80s and 90s singalong sessions, and the full state calendar is on our NSW events.
Tonight's Artwork
The Red Peacock
First comes the red. Not a polite red, a full-volume, stop-sign red that covers the whole canvas while the opening tracks warm everyone up. Next the peacock struts in side on, cobalt and deep navy, chin up like it already knows it is the best-dressed bird in the club. Then the fun part: a long tail of green and gold swept across in loose, confident strokes, finished with a bright yellow eye dotted at the tip of every feather. Big shapes, bold colour, zero fiddly detail. It reads like a gallery piece from across the room, which is exactly where your mates will be standing when they ask who painted it.

"A fun and creative exercise. The music and the instructor was good. I look forward to attending another paint and sip again soon."

Before you arrive
Come hungry. The club kitchen and bar are open, so grab dinner and a glass and be settled before brushes go up at 6pm.
Wear something you are happy to sacrifice. Aprons are supplied, but red paint is famously clingy.
Dress ups get a cheer. Neon windcheaters, double denim, butterfly clips, a scrunchie the size of your fist. Pick a decade and go hard.
No door sales on the night, so grab your ticket online before Saturday sneaks up on you.
Buying this as a gift? We have gift cards that never expire.
Buy a Gift CardHow the night runs
Walk in, drink in hand, and find your easel already loaded with paints, brushes and an apron.
Your host says hello, the first song kicks off live and the red sky goes down in big, easy strokes.
While each layer dries, it is top-up time, photo time and the chorus that turns total strangers into backup singers.
Last feathers, group photo, then home with a peacock under one arm and a voice that will need Sunday off.
FAQs
Is the music live?
Yes. A live vocalist sings the 80s and 90s for the whole session, and the room takes care of the backing vocals.
What are we painting?
The Red Peacock: a cobalt blue bird, a blazing red sky and a sweeping tail of green and gold feathers. Rather a pink peacock or a purple sky? Ask your host on the night and we will swap the colours at no extra cost.
Do I have to sing?
Nope. Fair warning though, most people crack somewhere around the second chorus.
What time does it finish?
Painting starts at 6pm and wraps up by around 9pm, up to 3 hours all up.
I have never painted. Will I cope?
Without a doubt. The peacock is built in a handful of simple stages and the feathers are quick, loose flicks, so first-timers walk out with something worth hanging.
Is it good for a birthday or hens?
Spot on for it. Tell us who the star of the night is in your checkout notes and the whole room will raise a glass to them.
Can I come on my own?
Of course. Heaps of guests book solo, and we will sit you with a friendly group.
We are booking separately. Can we sit together?
Yes. Add one group name to every booking's checkout notes and we will keep your easels side by side.
Can I bring my own food or drinks?
No BYO, sorry. Wyong Golf Club looks after the food and drinks, so order from the club.
Can we book a private session instead?
Yes. Private sessions are $700 AUD flat for the first 10 guests and $65 per additional guest, with a minimum of 10 paid guests. Send us the details and we will sort a date.
Where do I buy tickets?
Right here on the Paint Juicy website. Tickets are online only and are not sold at the door.
