Every night's playlist is a little different, so treat this as the vibe, not the setlist.
Sunday afternoon at the Kallangur Tavern, disco and classic rock, live vocals from Lotti Rem and a cobalt blue Santorini door dripping in pink bougainvillea going up on your canvas. You leave with a finished painting, a sore voice and a far better Sunday than the one you had planned.
Good to know: 18+ only. No BYO, bar on site.
Recognised as a Best of Queensland Experience every year since 2022
What this afternoon is
This is not a hushed little painting workshop. This is a Paint Juicy afternoon on Anzac Avenue. Big energy, bigger music, and a room laughing at its own canvases by the second hour.
Lotti Rem is on live vocals the whole way through, so the singalong has a real voice out front rather than a playlist and a hopeful nudge. Your host guides every brushstroke on the mic, so nobody gets stranded at step four. Natural breaks between layers give everyone time to grab a drink, take photos and get their breath back before the next big chorus lands.
Disco floor fillers, classic rock and the power ballads everyone secretly knows every word to. The 70s warm up the room, the 80s take the roof off, and by the final chorus the whole tavern is one very loud choir with paintbrushes.
A 1pm Sunday start sorts the whole afternoon, with brushes down around 4pm and plenty of time left to get home before the work week. Easy for Petrie, Dakabin, Murrumba Downs, Griffin, Mango Hill and North Lakes. Bring the group chat, bring your mum, bring the mate who swears they cannot draw. Every other Kallangur paint and sip date lives on the local page, every 70s and 80s paint and sip session sits together in one spot, and everything else coming up is across the rest of Queensland.
Today's Artwork
Santorini Door
A cobalt blue arched door set into a sun bleached white wall, a round blue vase on the step, and pink bougainvillea tumbling over the lot with petals scattered across the courtyard. Off to the side, the Aegean glitters under a clear blue sky. The flowers go on as quick loose dabs of pink and red, so the whole thing blooms fast and looks properly Greek island by the end. It is a holiday you can hang on the wall, no passport required.

Before you arrive
Arrive a few minutes early. Sort your drinks at the bar and find your seat before painting starts at 1pm.
Wear clothes you do not mind painting in. We supply aprons but acrylic paint is enthusiastic and occasionally ambitious.
Dress ups are absolutely welcomed. Flares, sequins, big collars, leg warmers and anything your mum wore to a blue light disco.
Tickets are online only and they are not sold at the door, so book before the day.
Buying this as a gift? We have gift cards that never expire.
Buy a Gift CardHow the afternoon runs
Arrive early, grab a drink, find your seat. Everything is already waiting at your easel.
Host kicks off with Lotti Rem on live vocals, and the sky and sea go on first.
Natural breaks for top ups, photos and the choruses that get louder every round.
Bougainvillea dabbed in, group photo, canvas wrapped. You go home with a Greek island and a much better story than a normal Sunday.
FAQs
Who is singing?
Lotti Rem is on live vocals for the full session, working the 70s and 80s catalogue while you paint. Live singing, not a speaker in the corner.
What are we painting?
Santorini Door, a cobalt blue arched door and vase under pink bougainvillea with the sea behind. If you want the colours tweaked to suit your lounge room, say so on the day and we will help you shift them, no extra charge.
Is singing along optional?
Technically yes. Realistically you will not resist. Expect call and response moments and choruses you forgot you knew every word to.
What time does it finish?
Painting starts at 1pm and runs up to 3 hours, so brushes are down around 4pm.
Do I need painting experience?
None at all. We guide every step from blank canvas to finished painting, and those flowers are far more forgiving than they look.
Is this good for a hens or birthday group?
Absolutely. Hens parties and birthdays are the two most common private bookings we run. Add a note at checkout if you are celebrating and we will give the guest of honour a shout out on the day.
Can I come alone?
Yes, and plenty of people do. We seat you with other friendly humans so you are part of it from the first song.
Can groups who book separately sit together?
Yes. Add a note at checkout with the name of your group and we will seat you together.
Can I BYO food or drinks?
No BYO. The Kallangur Tavern has a bar, so drinks are available to buy on the day.
Can we book the whole room instead?
Yes. Private sessions are $700 AUD flat for the first 10 guests and $65 per additional guest, with a minimum of 10 paid guests. Send us the details and we will sort a date.
Where do I buy tickets?
Right here on the Paint Juicy website. Tickets are not sold at the door, so book your seat online before the day.
