ABBA Paint and Sip at Sunshine Beach | Singalong, Sea Breeze and 100 Legends
Sunshine Beach got the full ABBA Paint and Sip treatment and honestly, it felt like the coast had been waiting for it. One hundred people rolled in, ready for a night of painting, singing and pretending they were in a music video, not a function room.

The ABBA girls hit the stage live, not just as background entertainment but as the heartbeat of the night. Every time they started a set, the whole room lifted. Tables turned into mini dancefloors, people waved brushes in the air like lighters and half the crowd forgot they were meant to be painting at all.

We set up three artist stations so no one was stuck craning their neck. Wherever you sat, you had a clear line of sight to an artwork and a host walking you through the steps. It kept things moving without killing the vibe. People could look up, take in the instructions, have a crack on their canvas and then jump straight back into the chorus.

The bar worked overtime. Cocktails, wine, beer and soft drink did the rounds while plates of food kept appearing and disappearing. It was that perfect mix of “I am actually doing an activity” and “I am absolutely here for a night out”. You did not have to choose.

Everyone painted. We are not naming the artworks or overcomplicating it. Some kept it simple, some layered up their colours, some matched their outfits to their canvases just for fun. The best bit was watching strangers lean over to compliment each other or crack up at a happy accident gone wild.

By the end of the night the room was all smiles, sore throats and arms full of canvases. People stuck around for photos with the ABBA girls, grabbed group shots and tried to decide which wall at home deserved the honour.

If you are on the Sunshine Coast and missed this one, keep an eye on our Sunshine Beach Paint and Sip and Sunshine Coast Paint and Sip listings. When ABBA comes back to town, you will want a seat in the room.
