Buderim 80s and 90s Paint and Sip at 10 Toes Brewing Recap

Sunflowers, singalongs and absolute chaos in the best way

Buderim turned it on. We rolled into 10 Toes Brewing and every seat was taken before the first track hit the chorus. Big groups, big energy and a room that needed microphones just to cut through the buzz. It felt like a party pretending to be a class, which is exactly our favourite kind of night.

Two skies, same sunflowers, double the fun

We gave everyone a choice so you could chase your vibe:

  • A soft sunset cloudy sky for the romantics
  • A Van Gogh style windy sky for the drama lovers
It split almost perfectly half and half, which made the gallery at the end look like two exhibitions sharing a dance floor. Beginners got early wins, confident painters went wild on the swirls, and sunflowers everywhere stole the show.

The crowd

Easy to work with, up for a laugh and happy to cheer on strangers. Between painting steps the singalongs kicked off, the mics did their job and a few accidental harmonies happened. Paint, belt the hook, paint again. The tempo was perfect.

The bar and the food

10 Toes staff were absolutely smashed and still smiling. Drinks landed fast, orders kept moving and the kitchen delivered a parade of shiny plates. Special shout-out to the chips and the vegie tacos which were, without exaggeration, some of the best we have ever had. Portions here are not mucking about. If you want a decent feed, you will not leave hungry.

After-hours shuffle

When the last photos were snapped, most of the room drifted downstairs to the main bar to keep the night rolling and play a few rounds of pool. Classic move and highly recommended. As for the bloke who tried to hop into our van on exit… mate, 10 out of 10 for enthusiasm, but we travel light. Overall, still an absolute belter of an evening.

Moments we loved

  • That first roar when the windy sky clicked and the swirls started to glow
  • A table that turned their sunflowers into band posters and owned it
  • The chorus that shook the room so hard we needed a paint-water top-up and a breather
  • Friends swapping colours like contraband and accidentally inventing better palettes

Why we love Buderim at 10 Toes

It’s the combination. Friendly locals, a venue team that runs like a dream and a room that feels built for fun. Add massive food portions, cold beer and a playlist stacked with 80s and 90s bangers and you’ve got a night that basically hosts itself.

See you again soon

We’re coming back. Keep an eye on our Buderim Paint and Sip dates and the wider Sunshine Coast Paint and Sip calendar. Bring your crew, bring your big-lunged chorus voice and we’ll bring the easy steps, the singalongs and more sunflower glory.
