Bundaberg Movie Magic Paint and Sip Singalong Recap

Bundaberg, you beautiful buggers. Friday night was an absolute full-house, sold-out riot in the best possible way. Movie Magic theme, singalong energy from the jump, and a room full of people who clearly came ready to paint, laugh, and belt out a chorus like it was their job.

The vibe

This one had proper “party season is here” energy (even in February). Big smiles, louder table chats, and that feel-good chaos you only get when a crowd is comfortable enough to be a little silly and proud of it.

The painting

We went full Movie Magic with the drama masks, spotlight beams, skyline silhouettes and that moody blue water. It’s one of those artworks that looks impressive fast, which is exactly what you want when you’re also trying to keep up with the singing and the banter.

Everyone’s version had its own personality too. Some masks looked cheeky, some looked like they’d just heard the plot twist, and a few had a suspicious “I’m the main character” vibe. As they should.

James on hosting duties

James ran the room and kept it rolling the whole night, getting everyone involved without turning it into one of those awkward “forced fun” situations. Just good pace, good laughs, and plenty of moments for the tables to do their thing.

 

Special guest: Lotti Rem

And then there was the cherry on top: the most delicious Lotti Rem bringing the vocals and lifting the whole night up another level. You could feel the room lean in every time she fired up, then immediately lose all self-control the second a recognisable tune hit.

The crowd

From the front tables to the back, it was one of those groups where you look around mid-session and go, “Yep. This is why we do this.” Paintings on the go, mates hyping each other up, hugs, birthday energy, and that warm Bundy hospitality that never misses.
