Wyong Paint and Sip Recap at Wyong Golf Club: Van Gogh Inspired Sunflowers
Wyong, you got the full touring Paint Juicy experience. The fun part, the singalongs, the laughs. Plus the behind-the-scenes chaos where the weather tries to wipe us out and we refuse to die.
We held this Paint and Sip at Wyong Golf Club and painted our Van Gogh inspired sunflowers with that windy, swirling sky. No Lotti Rem for this one, but James stepped up and absolutely cranked the tunes for an epic singalong while everyone painted.

The night before was a mess, and then we made it work
The weather the night before was next level. Tonnes of rain, and it absolutely smashed our canvasses. So instead of rocking up calm and organised like normal people, we were out sourcing replacement canvasses before the session so everyone still got the same great quality you’re used to.
That scramble is not glamorous, but it matters. If you’re paying for a proper Paint Juicy session, you should get proper gear, not some flimsy panic-buy rubbish that warps if you look at it too hard.
Wyong Golf Club, but make it “we’ll adapt”
The venue copped it too. The bad weather hit so hard that the air con in our room blew up, which is a very rude thing for an air con to do when a room is full of painters.
So we did what we do. We moved the sliding partitions around to redirect the fresh cold air back towards us and just got on with it. Not perfect, but it worked, and the vibe stayed high.

This one always hits. Big, happy sunflowers up front, then that dramatic windy sky behind it that makes everyone feel like an artist even if they’re mainly here for the party.
What made the Wyong session especially good was how different everyone’s versions turned out. Some went bold and punchy with the yellows, some leaned into deeper blues and greens in the sky, and some made the swirls properly wild. Same guide, totally different personalities on canvas.
No live singer, but the singalong still went off
No Lotti Rem for Wyong, but the room did not sit quietly and behave. James had the tunes pumping and you lot took that as permission to sing while painting, which is the correct way to do a Paint Juicy session.
It felt like one of those groups where the singalong just happens naturally. Nobody’s forced into it, it just builds, table by table, until suddenly half the room knows every word and the other half is laughing because they can’t believe they know every word too.
Returning guests, we see you
There were a few notable returning guests in the mix and honestly, that’s the best compliment. People don’t come back to something that was average.
