What this night is
This is not a quiet little painting workshop. It is a Paint Juicy night. Expect big energy, great music, singalong moments and a room full of people laughing at their canvases by the second hour.
Lotti Rem is on live vocals all night, so the singalong is a real voice leading the room rather than a playlist and a hopeful nudge. The host guides every brushstroke on the mic while Lotti works the 70s and 80s catalogue. Natural breaks between layers give everyone time to grab a drink, take photos and catch their breath before the next big chorus lands.
If you want a Friday night at the mouth of the Elliott River that is a little bit different, this is your sign. Worth the short run out from Bundaberg, Bargara and Coral Cove. Dress ups are welcomed. Arrive early, settle in at the bar and be in your seat before painting starts. Cannot make this one? Lavender Sunset
Rows of lavender roll toward the horizon while the sun melts into a sky of hot pink, coral and soft lilac. A little stand of trees sits off to one side, the fields catch the last of the warm light in dabs of purple, blush and cream, and the whole scene glows. The palette is pure golden hour magic, deep violet, warm sunset orange, blush pink and soft cream highlights that make the lavender come alive. Loose, bright and far more achievable than it looks. You will want to hang this one the moment it dries.

Before you arrive
Arrive a few minutes early at The Waves Club Elliott Heads. Get settled in, sort your drinks and find your seat before painting starts at 6pm.
Wear clothes you do not mind painting in. We supply aprons but acrylic paint is enthusiastic and occasionally ambitious.
Dress ups are absolutely welcomed. 70s and 80s gear always gets a big reaction from the room. Flares, sequins, denim, go for it.
Tickets are online only. They are not sold at the door. If you haven't bought yours yet, grab it online before the night.

FAQs
Do I need painting experience?
Not at all. We guide every step from blank canvas to finished painting. If you last painted in Year 8 art, you are overqualified.
Who is singing?
Lotti Rem is on live vocals for the full session, working the 70s and 80s catalogue while you paint. Live singing, not a speaker in the corner.
Is singing along optional?
Technically yes. Realistically you will not resist. Expect call and response moments and choruses you forgot you knew every word to.
Can I BYO food or drinks?
No BYO. The Waves has a bar and a bistro, so food and drinks are available to purchase throughout the session.
Is this good for a hens or birthday group?
Absolutely. Hens nights and birthdays are the two most common private bookings we run. Add a note at checkout if you are celebrating and we will give the guest of honour a shout out on the night.
Can I come alone?
Yes. Many people do. We seat you with other friendly humans so you are part of the fun from the first song.
Can groups who book separately sit together?
Yes. Add a note at checkout with the name of your group and we will seat you together.

When you book, open the "Anything that'll make your night easier?" box in your cart and tick whatever helps, like an easy access seat, room for a wheelchair or a quieter spot, and we'll plan the room around you before you arrive. Got a Companion Card? Your support person comes free at public sessions. Guide dogs and assistance animals are always welcome.
Our nights are loud and lively, and some venues use stage lighting that can include flashing or strobe-style effects. If that matters to you, get in touch before you book and we'll tell you what to expect at this venue.
