Why a Paint and Sip Is the Right Way to Celebrate a Promotion
A promotion is worth more than a round of drinks at the same pub the crew always ends up at. The new title took months of work, a couple of late nights and at least one meeting that should have been an email. A paint and sip gives the moment the proper landing it deserves. The room stops, every guest paints a canvas, the singalong hits and nobody is quietly checking their phone under the table.
Work celebrations have a reputation for being awkward. The boss pays for one drink, half the team slips out by 8, and the person the night is actually for ends up paying for their own late-night kebab. A paint and sip rewrites that entire script. Every guest has a task, the energy builds together, and the person being celebrated actually feels celebrated. Nobody ghosts the canvas and nobody disappears to the bar for forty minutes straight either.
Paint Juicy has run private paint and sip nights for law firms, real estate agencies, hospital departments, nonprofit teams and small business crews marking a partner promotion. The format works whether the group is six close friends marking a promotion privately or a 40-strong team night with the whole department. It scales and the tone stays right.
Celebrating a work milestone for the whole team instead of one person? The team building page covers the wider end-of-financial-year, end-of-project, bonus-season version. A promotion celebration sits slightly different. It is personal. This page is built for that.
How Your Promotion Celebration Paint and Sip Runs
Lock In Your Booking
Submit an enquiry with your date, guest count, preferred location and any add-ons you want included. We confirm availability, lock in your artist, send a booking summary and share everything your group needs before the day. No chasing, no guest list spreadsheets, no last-minute confusion about what is happening.
We Handle the Setup
Paint Juicy arrives early and sets up every canvas, easel, paint palette, brush kit and apron before your first guest walks in. The venue is ready to go. Tables are laid out, the playlist is running low in the background, and everything is exactly where it needs to be. You show up, your people show up, and the event starts.
The Session Runs Itself
Your artist hosts the whole event on mic, guiding every step of the painting so nobody gets lost or left behind. Singalong breaks, games and cheeky moments are woven in between paint layers so the energy never drops and nobody is left staring at a drying canvas. No painting experience needed and no pressure to be any good at it.
Take Home Your Canvas
Every guest leaves with a finished painting they actually want to hang up, plus the photos and group memories that come with it. We pack everything down once the session wraps, clear the space and leave it how we found it. The organiser does not lift a finger. That is the whole idea.
Choose the Vibe for the Promotion Night
The singalong theme sets the tone for the whole session. Pick one the person being celebrated actually loves. If the new title is a big deal, the night should feel like one. If the vibe is low-key and close friends only, the playlist gets picked accordingly.
80s and 90s Singalong
The most requested vibe at Paint Juicy events. Big choruses, bigger hair in spirit, and a playlist that has everyone from the quiet one to the loudest one up and belting by the second song.
ABBA Night
Waterloo, Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, the entire catalogue. Nobody stays seated through an ABBA set. Perfect when you want the energy turned all the way up.
Aussie Rock
Cold Chisel, Hunters, INXS, Skyhooks and the rest. A legitimate crowd-pleaser and a brilliant choice when the group includes dads, brothers and husbands alongside the women of the hour.
Custom Moment Painting
A canvas tied to the promotion itself. New city if there is a relocation, the firm logo in abstract, the project that got the promotion over the line. Quoted separately on enquiry.

Promotion Celebration Session Formats
The go-to format for a focused celebration night. Painting, singalongs, games, and the room properly recognising the moment within a tight two hours. Guests leave on a high.
Longer format with space for speeches, toasts, a gift presentation moment and extended singalongs. Book this when the team wants the night to breathe and the promoted person deserves the fuss.
How Much Does a Promotion Celebration Paint and Sip Cost?
Private promotion celebration bookings run on a flat rate for the first ten guests with a simple per-person rate after that. No venue hire on top of us. No surprise costs for setup or breakdown. The budget line is clean, which matters when the work is paying.
First 10 Guests
Flat rate covers the full session, all equipment, full setup and pack down, and your hosted artist for the event. Minimum booking is 10 paid seats.
Each Additional Guest
Per person after your first 10. Scales simply as your group grows, whether that is 15 guests or 50. Add-ons are quoted separately.
Groups smaller than 10 are welcome to join a public paint and sip session near you instead of booking privately. Public sessions start from $59 per person. Want to give the experience as a gift? Gift cards are available here. Custom artwork incurs an additional quoted fee.
Optional Add-Ons for the Night
Mention any of these when you enquire and we will build them into your session.
Celebrate the Promotion Properly
Private bookings start from 10 guests. Tell us the name of the person being celebrated, your date and location, and we will lock in the rest. Smaller group? Join a public session near you.
Enquire About a Private BookingPromotion Celebration Paint and Sip FAQs
How many guests do we need for a private promotion night?
The minimum for a private booking is 10 paid guests. Smaller work crews are welcome to join a public paint and sip session across QLD, NSW and NT. Your group still sits together and the vibe still lands.
Is this suitable for a mixed-gender work team?
Yes. Paint Juicy runs mixed-gender work nights constantly. The format gives every guest something to do, which defuses the usual awkwardness of work socials. By the second singalong, the team has forgotten who reports to who.
Can the boss say a few words?
Yes, and we recommend it. The 3 hour Party Plus format has natural breaks where a partner, manager or mentor can give a short speech. The artist hosts the transition on mic so it does not land flat.
Can we keep alcohol low-key?
Completely. Many promotion nights are mid-week and guests are driving home. BYO is optional, sessions run brilliantly on soft drinks and sparkling, and the energy comes from the singalong and games not the bottle count.
Can we give a gift as part of the session?
Yes. Build a gift presentation moment into the Party Plus format. Your artist will set it up on mic at the right point in the session so the presentation feels earned rather than rushed.
Do guests need painting experience?
None whatsoever. The artist guides every step on mic. Our easy painting guides show the kind of results total beginners walk away with.
Where do you run promotion celebration sessions?
Across Queensland, NSW and NT. On the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Coffs Harbour, Darwin and more.
